The Honda Safety Institute makes the leap to Madrid with road courses

The Honda Safety Institute is one of Honda’s differentiating points. The Japanese company has always been linked to both technological advancement and user safety and in Spain this materialized in the HIS, which has its headquarters in Spain in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda (Barcelona).

More than 30,000 motorcyclists have been trained there in the more than 15 years it has been in operation. Now the challenge is different and is that the HIS leaves its facilities to begin offering training experiences in real traffic environments, that is, the open road.

This first step outside the facilities of the Honda Safety Institute will be carried out in the Community of Madrid, with new courses aimed at users of both the A and A2 permits. In these courses the instructors will focus on such important aspects as motorcycle control techniques, corner layout and risk anticipation.

Three key factors to increase safety when riding a motorcycle and that represent the key tools so that the user can have greater control, greater confidence and greater security regardless of the level of experience.

The Honda Safety Institute courses in Madrid will launch in November

The courses will be taught by Activities on Wheels (ASR), a company specialized in the advanced training of motorcyclists, and which has been certified by Honda Spain in terms of training processes, content and methodology. Thanks to this, high quality standards are guaranteed.

The training will take place on routes selected for their variety of layout and conditions, and participants will be guided by ASR instructors, who have also passed the certification process by Honda to be part of the project.

In each course there will be different stops en route to work on key aspects, view and analyze multimedia content, such as the participants’ own development en route.

The three brand dealers in the Community of Madrid collaborate with the courses

This initiative has the support and collaboration of the three Official Honda Dealers in the Community of Madrid, and the first courses already have a date:

  • November 15, in collaboration with the official dealer Otobai
  • November 22, in collaboration with the official Motorsport dealer
  • November 29, in collaboration with the official dealer Ikono Motorbike
  • December 6, reservation date

Registration and the rest of the course details can be accessed on the Honda Safety Institute website or on the ASR website.
