More and more brands are determined to take their share of the pie within the current Rally category. QJMotor joins this trend with its striking SRT 500 CXa frame recently presented on its official website and that has all the earmarks of debuting at the 2025 edition of the well-known Milan Show.
Along with other high-level compatriots, such as the Kove 450 Rally, two essential aspects prevail: Lightness and Offroad capabilities at the highest level. To achieve this, the brand puts all its efforts in terms of components, geometries and general equipment. Now we just have to wonder, will it reach European dealerships?
QJMotor SRT 500 CX in detail
The policy of development and subsequent launch of QJMotor models does not stop. They continually entertain us with news of all kinds, increasingly focused on a broader spectrum of fans. Among these, recently, we have met, for example, the new QJMotor SRT 600 S, a touring version of the standard model with 17” alloy wheels.
But it is not the only one; With an appearance not far removed from this SRT 500 CX we have the new SRT 500 RX. More focused on Offroad driving than its range sisters, this one stands out mainly for equipping a 21″ front wheel, long suspension travel and a contained final weight. One step further, in terms of use and enjoyment off the asphalt, we find this SRT 500 CX.
The first information we have about her leaves no room for doubt. But above all it categorically confirms its philosophy, in addition to the Rally acronym “tattooed” on its lateral fibers, the repertoire of components that make up its technical architecture. Among the most notable are:
21 and 18 inch radial wheels, front and rear respectively, shod, both with clearly Offroad focused tires. Also its long-travel suspension equipment, with front inverted fork and rear central monoshock. Braking is provided by a disc in an axle box; 300 mm front and 240 mm rear.
Both assisted by an ABS system, presumably disconnectable on the rear wheel. To complete this descriptive list of the model we have a typically Rally silhouette with a high front fender, a narrow and elongated silhouette and a one-piece bench seat that wraps around the fuel tank at the top.
Regarding the latter, a fact to take into account. The brand approves a capacity of 32 litersa truly large figure that would offer us ample autonomy in any situation. If we add to this an empty weight of barely 143 kilogramswe are undoubtedly facing a frame that is becoming a benchmark within this category.
But this is not all, since mechanically it is well resolved, in addition to adapting to the demands imposed by the current A2 license. Its 449.4 cc, 4-valve DOHC, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine declares a final power of 47.6 HP. The maximum torque is 42 Nm at 7,500 rpm and all this reaches the rear wheel through a 6-speed transmission.
Having said all this, now we just have to wait. First, the 2025 edition of EICMA begins, where this SRT 500 CX could debut before the audience and the media accredited to the Milanese event. After the brand announces the exact moment of the model’s launch, but even more importantly, it confirms its possible arrival at the brand’s European dealerships. Stay tuned.
