Indian Sport Chief RT Bastard (Porto, Portugal) in detail
Porto Motorcycle, Exclusive Concessionaire of Indian Motorcycle in Portugal since 2015, was inspired by the Performance and Race DNA of Indian Motorcycle and its creation, “Bastard”, captured the imagination of fans with its raw and aggressive posture, bold aesthetics and combination Perfect modern performance with old school rebellion.
The motorcycle goal was to maximize the youthful and rebel spirit of the Sport Chief RT, reflecting the modern club style without altering the motorcycle too much and at the same time trying to use as many original pieces and accessories as possible.
To increase the performance, motorcycle selected Öhlins front forks combined with rear shock absorbers with remote tank, also signed by the Swedish brand, and modified the fender to adapt it to the new front of the front of the “Bastard.” With serial brembo front tweezers already installed in the Sport Chief RT, motorcycle selected a matching Brembo master cylinder designed for Indian FTR.
Other select high -performance pieces include a Machine Performance air filter, a Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde escape system and exotic Kineo radial tires. All this complemented with genuine accessories of Indian Motorcycle, including handlebar elevators, brake levers and FTR clutch, a higher windshield and the new Bluetooth PowerBand audio speaker for the Indian Chief line.
Inspired by the King of Baggers and Superhooligan models, paint is a mixture of gray and carbon with a golden gradient and gold lines that create a link with the classic brand models. The painting process was very complex, with the risk of having to start over each step.
Applied in three phases (first the hydrocarbon paint, then the gray layer and, finally, the golden stripes), motorcycle was not sure of the final result, since each new phase ran the risk of ruining the previous step. The seat has also been personalized with an appearance of carbon and has combined with the main paint scheme.
With the high level of the “First 6” Sport Chief RT customized, the competition obtained an overwhelming response from the motorcyclist community, with thousands of enthusiasts from all over Europe casting their votes. In a very competitive vote that chose “Bastard” as the winning forest, there were two second notable places:
- “No Comley Society” by Krazy Horse (United Kingdom)
- “Top Fuel” by Indian Motorcycle Metz (France)
Ola StengärdIndian Motorcycle design director, said: “The response to the personalization of the ‘First 6’ dealerships has been incredible and I just want to thank our dealers for accepting the challenge and making this a great victory. The bastard of motorcycles is a dignified winner, who embodies the spirit of pure performance, style and individuality that defines the Sport Chief RT. “
Concludes: “I am happy that the decision has been for public vote, since it simply could not have chosen only a construction for a prize. Each motorcycle had its own innovative and great touches, manufacturing work, beautiful pieces and dazzling paint. I was really surprised by all the work invested in each of these motorcycles and what these six teams managed to achieve in such a short time. ”
Fans will be able to see “bastard” of Motostrada Porto and the other “First 6” creations in the next 24th edition of the Motocykl exhibition in Prague, Czech Republic, from March 6 to 9.
