The KTM 390 Adventure R 2025 will include cruise control within its equipment

The imminent KTM 390 Adventure R continues to offer us new pearls of information on all those essential aspects that will be part of its structure. The last of these novelties is related to the inclusion of cruise control within its equipment, a milestone within the low-medium displacement ADV category, since none of its rivals yet have this extra.

We are, therefore, facing the birth of a new era of models within the Austrian firm, which will also feature, among others, the following technical and mechanical advances for next year:

It is not clear if KTM will offer cruise control as standard, or it will become one of the options presented by the KTM 390 Adventure R ahead of its official launch. In any case, it is a technological resource highly requested by all those who like to travel long distances on the back of their saddle, due to the practicality and comfort they offer when used on the road.

KTM 390 Adventure R 2025: Ready for its official presentation

The latest images of the KTM 390 Adventure R show us a cluster of switches on the left side responsible for managing the cruise control. These were taken on the occasion of the 2024 KTM Adventure Rally held a few days ago in South Dakota, USA. Where it was also presented along with another stellar first for the brand, the 1390 Super Adventure R.

Regarding the 390 Adventure, the use of 21 and 18 inch radial wheels was confirmed, as well as mixed tires aimed at Offroad use. In addition, we see a long-travel inverted front fork, as well as a laterally anchored rear monoshock. Likewise, the braking has a disc per axle.

Finally we have the 399 cc LC4 single-cylinder engine, released just a few months ago in the new 390 Duke. Not only is it lighter and more powerful than the previous generation, but it also provides compatibility with the EURO 5+ regulations, making it a very attractive option for the current A2 license. KTM declares a power of just over 44 HP and a maximum torque of 39 Nmall of this transferred to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox equipped with a mechanically operated PASC slipper clutch.
