The living story of a legend on two wheels already has its corner on Instagram

Ducati celebrates his historical heritage by launching the official profile of the Ducati Museum (@museoduati) On Instagram, a digital space designed to tell its history and make generations of passionate to dream.

On July 4, 2025, the 99th anniversary of the birth manufacturer of Bologna was fulfilled: almost a century of innovation, passion and love for beauty that have redefined the concept of excellence on two wheels. With the opening of the profile, the path that will accompany the community of Ducati begins to the Great Centenary of 2026.

Ducati Museum: a century of history to share

It was on July 4, 1926 when, in the heart of a Bologna that lived in the scientific effervescence of the discoveries and technological advances of Guglielmo Marconi, Antonio Cavalieri Ducati, along with his children Adriano, Bruno and Marcello, founded the “Società Scientific Radio Brieftti Ducati”. A company initially specialized in radiocommunication technologies, aimed at evolving over time until it becomes what it is today.

The turning point for Ducati arrived in the postwar period, with the production of the Cucciolo in 1946, a small auxiliary engine applicable to the bicycles, which marked the brand’s entrance into the world of two wheels. From that moment on, the company initiated a continuous research, evolution and innovation trip that has led her to settle as one of the most prestigious companies of Made in Italy today.

From the Ducati 60, the first motorcycle produced entirely by the Burgo Panigale company in 1949, to the popular 1962 Scramble protagonists and memorable sports achievements.

Among them, Fabio Taglioni, the engineer who adapted the demodromic distribution to the first racing motorcycles, leaving a distinctive technical solution as a legacy that still characterizes the Racing DNA and the most sports proposals of the brand. This is intertwined with historical victories, from the first successes in long distance races from the mid -50s, to the triumphs of Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari in the 200 miles of Imala in 1972.

Going through the numerous successes in Superbike in the 90s with legendary pilots such as Carl Fogart and Troy Bayliss, to the first MotoGP title won by Casey Stoner in 2007, Ducati’s story is full of transcendental sports events. A sports tradition of excellence confirmed even in more recent years, with Ducati crowned MotoGP world champion for three consecutive years (2022, 2023 and 2024) and consolidating its supremacy in the Superbike World Cup with 20 world builders.

Almost a century after that historical date, Ducati also wants to tell his story on Instagram, with the birth of the official profile of the Ducati Museum (@museoduati). It is a digital space designed to preserve and share the historical, engineering and sports heritage of the Burgo Panigale brand with the global community of enthusiasts and with the new generations.

A unique opportunity to discover almost a hundred years of innovation and passion and closely observe how the motorcycles that make Ducatisti of all generations are created.
