Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr: The road to get here
After patenting the model in the summer of 2023, everything indicated that it could make its commercial debut in the following months of the year. Already into the next season, 2024, it was rumored that the Crossfire 500 Storr was almost ready for its official launch.
In addition, it was stated that the brand had requested the homologation registration of the model in the USA. However, far from it reaching the official Brixton dealers, it was Gaokin Moto, the company in charge of manufacturing the model, which began its marketing in China.
According to information carried by some international media, “Although it will be on display at EICMA in 2022, Storr’s path to dealerships in Europe has been bumpy, as KSR Group ran into financial problems and filed for a court-supervised restructuring in September 2023.”
“That restructuring was completed in December, putting the company in a stronger position for 2024, but it may have affected the speed at which the Storr 500 has moved from concept to production, and explain why the Chinese-branded version has arrived in dealerships first.”
