The motorhomes are for pijos, theirs is to go in a motocaravan

12 The world of motorhomes has lived its golden moment after covid, and all kinds of adaptations have been seen depending on the budget. But the concept goes one step further with the Motocaravan.

No, it is not something that we have invented, but it is something that exists at least in a conceptual way and in China, where Motorrad’s friends have located a patent that would turn a scooter into a motocaravan.

The patent has been registered this month by a new company based in the province of Guangdong, and it is an adaptation of the “Caravanil World” to the two wheels. In the image and likeness of what we see with the authoracaravanas, this Motocaravan mounts a cabin in the back of a deep PCX, in this case the 150cc version, which is the one that is marketed there.

The system seems extensible

Motocaravan is not as glamorous as it seems

In the back of the cabin is the access door and, although an explanation has not been achieved, it does give the feeling that we would be facing a folding cabin, which would give the option to lengthen so that a person could fit inside and thus be able to sleep.

A curious concept that, however, reveals a need that is already living in certain Chinese cities, where many young people do not have access to housing and sleep in cars or microcoches that make bedrooms at night.

Access is from the back
Access is from the back

So although the future of these Motocaravans could initially imagine as something playful, it may be a business vision to the serious housing problem in some areas of the Asian giant. Seen, surely there are many also here in Spain that do not see it with such bad eyes …
