Following the recent presentation of the CFMoto 675 SR R Aspar, a mount with a maximum power of over 100 hp and a maximum torque of 67.5 Nmnow it seems that the brand could already be preparing a more civilized street version, even with a variant intended for current A2 license holders.
The news, which we have learned thanks to our colleagues at Moto Station, reveals the intention of the Asian brand to cover the largest number of segments possible. In this way, they would reach different potential customers who, in any case, are looking for different power levels and wide ranges of models to choose from.
CFMoto 675 SR: The sensible way
If we go back to last September 2023, when CF Moto presented its future 500 SR and 675 SR sports bikes to society, it was already clear that the brand would have different sports variants within its range. Shortly afterwards, they exhibited the revolutionary 3-cylinder, 100 HP engine that the Chinese firm itself had developed.
Following a style similar to that already seen in the MV Agusta F3 or the Triumph Daytona and Street Triple, the new engine presented a totally new technical architecture compared to the one equipped in these models from the Italian and British companies respectively.
Starting from the 449cc parallel twin engine used in the sporty 450 SR, CFMoto added a third parallel cylinder to bring its new engine to life. The similarities with the 450 engine were evident in elements such as the design of the cylinder head and the cam cover.
With the presentation of the CFMoto 675 SR R Aspar, We have learned some new details about this engine. For example, it has a crankshaft angle of 120º and is equipped with an injection system developed by the German specialist Bosch. In short, a novelty that is positioned within the tight category of medium-high displacement sports cars.
It goes without saying that CF Moto will end up using this same mechanics launched in the 675 SR in other new models of the brand, whether adventure, naked or even custom. On the other hand, it will most likely also end up offering versions of the same, for the A2 license, to its customers.
