the offroad for children that grows and adapts to various terrains

Hero MotoCorpafter the launch of its Vida V2 line of electric scooters, has high expectations to expand its presence in the electric vehicle market. According to the most recent developments, the brand Life could diversify its portfolio with the incorporation of electric off-road motorcycles aimed at both adults and children.

The sub-brand Lifespecialized in electric scooters, has not yet managed to establish itself significantly in the competitive EV scooter segment. Nevertheless, hero has surpassed several of its competitors and is already among the top five best-selling electric scooter manufacturers in India. However, sales could increase considerably, especially if it diversifies beyond scooters.

Hero MotoCorp Vida Project Secrets

Everything indicates that Hero MotoCorp plans to launch an electric off-road motorcycle this year we just started. This model could be based on the electric adventure motorcycle concepts presented at EICMA 2023: the Lynx and the Acro. As it could not be otherwise, both prototypes generated great interest at their Italian debut.

The concept Lynx was designed as an electric off-road motorcycle for adults, while the model Acro It focused on beginners. According to a registered patent, which we are talking about, the design seems to align with a production version of the model. Acro.

The main clue that suggests that it is the concept Acro and not of Lynx is the absence of a conventional disc brake system at the front. Instead, it appears to use an exposed-shoe braking system, similar to the one seen on the prototype. Acrowhich reinforces the idea that it will be a motorcycle intended for children and beginners as a learning tool.

Hero MotoCorp Life

In terms of design, this motorcycle will be considerably smaller than the adult off-road versions. Highlights include raised handlebars, centered footpegs and a flat seat that ensure a comfortable and upright riding position. The front suspension appears to be height-adjustable inverted telescopic, with beefy fork covers, while the rear features a monoshock. These features will allow the ergonomics of the motorcycle to be customized according to the user’s needs.

The model also features a removable electric battery placed in the central chassis and a mid-mounted electric motor that drives the rear wheel via a belt drive. The knobby tires reinforce its off-road focus. Curiously, no speedometer is seen in the design; instead, the brand Life It appears in the space where the instrument panel would usually be.

Hero MotoCorp Life

In terms of performance, this electric motorcycle based on the concept Acro It promises to offer enough power for dynamic maneuvers, such as drifts and jumps.

It is likely that it is not approved for road use, as its design seems to be focused exclusively on off-road tracks and trails, ideal for young drivers to develop their skills.
