With an aesthetic inspired by the KTM 990 SUPER DUKE R of previous generations, the 990 DUKE R combines a lightweight structure and matte black and white details on an Electronic Orange chassis. Its graphics and the “R” badge on the tank reinforce its high-performance character and competitive purpose.
The 2025 KTM 990 DUKE R features an 8.88-inch TFT touchscreen instrumentation, improving information display through a split-screen layout. The new layout of controls allows more intuitive access to its navigation system and customizable driving modes. Additionally, riders can choose between ABS SPORT and SUPERMOTO+ modes, offering precise control under demanding braking.
The 947 cc engine of the 2025 KTM 990 DUKE R has been optimized with a new mapping, reaching 128 HP of power and a limit of 10,500 RPM, maintaining a maximum torque of 103 Nm. Compared to the standard version, this configuration offers an additional 5 HP, allowing a more aggressive power delivery and responding to the demands of drivers on the track and road.
The KTM 990 DUKE R 2025 presents a reduction of 2 kg compared to its predecessor, achieving a curb weight of 190 kg. With a tight driving position and higher center of gravity, the model is suited to both the city and the track. The seat height and ground clearance are now 15 mm higher, offering greater lean when cornering. A redesigned link system at the rear allows for optimized traction, favoring aggressive riding.
The suspension includes adjustable WP APEX components on both axles. The new 48mm fork (34% stiffer than the previous version) and 143mm travel improve stability without sacrificing agility. In addition, the WP APEX rear shock absorber, with travel adjusted to 140 mm, is developed to perform at its best both on road and track, providing a firm and controlled ride.
Equipped with Brembo Stylema brakes and 320 mm discs, this KTM offers dominant braking in any situation, guaranteeing safety and precision. Michelin Power Cup 2 tires, combined with orange rims inherited from the 1390 SUPER DUKE R, complete the package for optimized driving.
