Some of them have passed through our editorial team, showing how special they are. Others we have not had the opportunity to discuss, but today we also position them within this annual ranking

10 – Ducati 900 Monster by XTR Pepo
In the last place on the list we find what is possibly his last professional work, Quantum, also known as “Do Not Finish”. Basically, because he keeps waiting for the owner to reappear to pay the final bill and be able to definitively finish the project.
Developed on the basis of a 1993 Ducati Monster 900, Quantum became the dream of a Dutch client who in 2021 placed the order with XTR Pepo under a long list of demands. A preparation that includes premium components of the highest level and the unmistakable charm of the Spanish specialist’s preparations.
9 – BMW R90 by Roughchild
From Pipe Burn they describe it as: “Robert Sabel is a true modern Renaissance man, and the Porsche expert who spent years restoring those classic German sports cars has since dedicated himself to building BMW motorcycles and does it very well. Brad Pitt is a client and owns a spectacular Bimmer built by Robert, but it was this green Bavarian that stole our hearts this year.”
“Robert makes bikes that perform as good as they look, and this R90 has it all. From a spectacular engine to the best brakes and suspension, every little detail has been carefully thought out and its vintage look is the icing on the cake.”
8 – BMW R100RS by Heiwa Motorcycles.
In this Top10 of customizations we find this R100RS from Heiwa Motorcycles, a motorcycle “known as Salty Green, it was a hit with the public. From big Japanese shows to social media, there’s always something special about Kimura-san’s signature style. The hand-molded bodywork gives this BMW a look that no other R-series can boast, and the long, low profile does wonders for centering the ever-popular Boxer Twin.”
7 – Suzuki ‘DRZ Scorpion 434’ by Parr Motorcycles.
Spencer Parr’s Suzuki ‘DRZ Scorpion 434’ combines the looks of the dirt bikes we’ve all loved since childhood into a package designed to be an unbridled road monster. From Pipe Burn they clarify that “Parr believes this is the best bike he has built to date, which is a great achievement because every one of his creations has been incredible.”
6 – Triumph Tiger TR6R by Defined Motorcycles.
In position number 6 of this Top10 customizations we find the Triumph Tiger TR6R. From Pipe Burn they explain that: “The Triumph Twin Bobber is one of the defining motorcycles of custom culture and to ensure that no detail was left unchecked, Michael Scott spent a decade building this beautiful girl he calls Evelyn.”
They conclude: “There was no budget or completion date, just time was taken to ensure every aspect of the build was done to perfection. And Michael did it to perfection, from the impeccable panel and paint work to that smoothed front end and hand-bent board track bars; It’s a bike you could look at for days.”
5 – EVE Odyssey by Bandit 9
The EVE Odyssey, ranked number 5 in this Top10 customizations 2024, is one of those peculiar motorcycles that, precisely for this reason, we like to see. The result may or may not be to our liking, we may find drawbacks or it may not be affordable. But no one can deny that for good and bad it attracts attention.
This is a machine created by Bandit 9 and unlike his other works, this cannot be considered a preparation because except for the engine, nothing belonged to the original motorcycle. From Pipe Burn they clarify: “What makes EVE Odyssey so special is the hand-crafted aluminum chassis and bullet-shaped body. “Some have claimed it was all computer generated, but then thousands of people saw it in person and had to tip their hat to one of the industry’s most prominent figures.”
4 – Yamaha XT500 by Purpose Built Moto
This XT500 from Purpose Built Moto “proved to be a fan favorite and got the spot”explain the creators of this Top10 customizations 2024. And they continue: “Tom has coined the term RetroCross to describe this style of motorcycle he builds, and the combination of vintage motocross good looks with modern performance and technology ticks all the boxes. Built to a world-class standard, the bikes are incredibly fast, reliable as hell and their looks make everyone feel nostalgic.”
3- Harley Pan America by Black Cycles
Occupying third place in this Top10 customizations 2024, we come across this HD Pan America Super Scrambler by Black Cycles. With it, the Australian trainer Black Cycles shows us how it is possible to integrate different motorcycle concepts into one.
This Pan America Super Scrambler is good proof of this where trail, supermotard and scrambler reminiscences come together. Without a doubt, a masterpiece that, keeping the Pan America’s motor skills unchanged, has a truly suggestive character and personality.
2 – Ducati MHR Mille by BCR
This incredible preparation, the work of American specialist Benjie Flipprboi and his team at BCR, is a true work of rolling art. You just have to dwell a little on every detail that surrounds it to realize the level of quality it possesses. Probably, for some, “coffeeing” a Ducati MHR Mille is a real sacrilege. For others, like the owner of this incredible Ducati MHR Mille, it is something you have to do at least once in your life.
There is no doubt that the finish of this Ducati 1000 MHR Mille says it all. It mixes green, white and gray with the exclusive finish provided by carbon fiber. The red accents and the yellow of the side monoshock do the rest. It may have offended the purists, but its owner now enjoys a true masterpiece where past and present merge for the delight of the senses.
1 – Yamaha ‘SR540MX’ by GM Motorcycles.
To finish off this list with the Top10 customizations of 2024, we show you the winner of the same, the – Yamaha SR540MX from GM Motorcycles, developed on a 1988 SR400. From Pipe Burn they explain that: “The young builder set himself an arduous task: first, build a bike in just six months that would be good enough to win trophies at the 2024 Machine Show, which he did. And then, put on the helmet and have a track weapon to win the sideways slide on the dirt track.”
They conclude: “And not only did he achieve it, but he did it with great style. Stunning bodywork, impeccable fit and finish, excellent engineering and a thunderous engine. “It’s everything any custom bike enthusiast could dream of.”
