More than 1,200 students They arrive in Alcañiz to complete a challenge on which they have worked for more than a year and a half: design, develop and build a motorcycle, electric or sustainable combustion, with which to compete in the VIII Edition of MotoStudent.
Over the next five days, the teams will demonstrate all their talent, creativity and technical ability in a unique competition that combines practical training, innovation and competitive spirit.
VIII edition of MotoStudent in detail
Organized by the Moto Engineering Foundation (MEF) and TechnoPark MotorLand, this edition marks a before and after in the history of MotoStudent. The traditional Petrol category has evolved to eFuel with a KTM engine, incorporating 100% renewable and sustainable fuel, which, together with the Electric category with Circe as a Technological Partner, make MotoStudent the only 100% sustainable university competition in the world.
MotoStudent once again brings together teams from four continents, coming from Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, India and the United States, among many other countries, creating an authentic international ecosystem of collaboration, learning and passion for motors. This year, in addition, new teams from France, Austria and England have been invited to live the experience firsthand, with a view to participating in future editions.
Professional passes have also been enabled for companies collaborating with the teams, allowing them to closely follow the work of the university students, from the pits to the track. This link between students and the industrial sector consolidates MotoStudent as a platform for talent and applied innovation, from which engineers have already emerged who today work in MotoGP, Formula 1 and other large companies.
Professional Days are held from Wednesday to Friday, with exclusive access for teams and professionals in the sector. During these days, the technical and administrative verifications of each prototype are carried out, in addition to the first dynamic tests on the track. As a novelty, this year the STEM conferences are incorporated, which invite schools and institutes in the area to learn about the competition up close, promoting vocations and bringing engineering and innovation closer to the new generations.
Over the weekend, MotorLand will open its doors to the public with free admission. In the Fan Zone of the paddock there will be activities for the whole family: simulators, road safety circuit, food trucks, games and interactive zones. Attendees will be able to enjoy the long-awaited final races of both categories and the recognition of the teams’ overall work during the Awards Gala on Saturday and the final podium on Sunday, which will put the finishing touch to this international event.
MotoStudent continues to grow thanks to the drive of its institutional sponsors: Government of Aragon, MotorLand Aragón, Dorna, RFME, FARAM, ANESDOR, University of Zaragoza, CEOE and CGCOII, together with its sponsors and collaborators, whose support is essential for the development of the event and its international projection.
Among them are: FIM, Circe, KTM, J. JUAN, Bender, Bridgestone, DSRM, Zoilo Ríos, Stellantis, Silence, MathWorks, Gres Aragón, Caja Rural, CAAR and Puyo Espacio Tecnológica. Thanks to its commitment, MotoStudent continues to consolidate itself as a global benchmark in innovation, sustainability and university training applied to the world of motorsports, projecting young talent towards the industry and the future of mobility.
