Last Friday, April 17, Ducati presented the “Manuale del Made in Italy secondo Ducati” (The Made in Italy manual according to Ducati), prepared by Rampello & Partners in collaboration with Ducati. An event attended by the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Senator Adolfo Urso; the President of the Emilia-Romagna region, Michele De Pascale; and Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali.
“Manual of Made in Italy according to Ducati”: 100 years of history printed on it
The “Manual of Made in Italy according to Ducati” is a unique document that captures the combination of design culture, industrial excellence and the incomparable Italian “know how” that has always characterized the Italian motorcycle manufacturer: the essence of “Made in Italy” according to Ducati, born in Borgo Panigale, in the heart of the Motor Valley, and spread throughout the world.
A dynamic balance between technique, form and relationships, science and beauty, expressed through the capacity to innovate, meticulous attention to quality and detail, technological excellence, refined design and a deep connection with both the territory and the community. The “Manual of Made in Italy according to Ducati” has the support of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, the Leonardo Committee and the Altagamma Foundation.
If the Manual illustrates the method, the Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore—presented as a world premiere by Minister Urso and Claudio Domenicali—represents its most authentic synthesis. The Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore is the maximum expression of Ducati technology applied to a motorcycle approved for road use, the first in the world to incorporate a braking system with carbon-ceramic discs and a fork with carbon fiber bars derived from MotoGP, capable of reaching a maximum power of 228 HP.
Manufactured in a limited edition of only 100 units, the Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore stands out for its exclusive decoration inspired by the 750 F1, winner of the “Battle of the Twins” at Daytona International Speedway in 1986 with Marco Lucchinelli, the last “classic” two-valve competition model and one of the most emblematic and exclusive Ducati of the 1980s.
Theory and practice are thus united in a single narrative: the “Manual of Made in Italy according to Ducati” as an expression of the method, the motorcycle as its concrete application. Two complementary dimensions that summarize 100 years of innovation and project Ducati into the future.
Ducati 100th Anniversary Events
The Emilia-Romagna region has always been the setting for World Ducati Week, the great Ducati meeting and the heart of this entire celebration: from July 3 to 5fans from all over the world will gather at the Misano Circuit to celebrate 100 years of history and experience first-hand the emotions that have made this motorcycle manufacturer a unique brand in the world of two wheels.
A historic and unrepeatable event, which comes to life through product presentations, night shows, talks with Ducati experts, the opportunity to meet riders of yesterday and today, and the parade: the emblematic and colorful snake of Ducati motorcycles that, in each edition, travels along the roads of the Romagna Riviera.
The weekend will reach its climax with the Lenovo Race of Champions, one of the most anticipated moments of this three-day event. An occasion that confirms once again the strong bond between Ducati and Lenovo, main and technological sponsor of the Ducati Lenovo Team in MotoGP and main sponsor of Aruba.it Racing – Ducati in the World Superbike Championship.
This edition will debut with a totally new format: free practice sessions and qualifying on Saturday, followed by the official race on Sunday at 12:00. All the Ducati MotoGP riders will be on the track, in addition to the Superbike stars, as well as riders from the main international championships, to form a truly world-class starting grid.
As part of a celebration that will last throughout the year 2026, the first collective event will be #WeRideAsOnethe global day organized by official Ducati clubs and official dealers, which on May 9 will bring together Ducatistis from around the world in a single shared experience.
#WeRideAsOne will serve as a prelude to World Ducati Week, which, in addition to the Lenovo Race of Champions, will also host one of the V4 Elite Cup race days, dedicated to amateur riders who own a Ducati Panigale V4, and the V2 Future Champ Academy, the competition project designed to discover and develop young talents and prepare them for the competitions of the future.
The weekend will feature free practice sessions, qualifying and the race. Both initiatives are promoted and organized by Garage 51 in collaboration with Michele Pirro (Ducati MotoGP test rider) and Ducati. The celebration program will also include the Expedition Masters programme, aimed at travel lovers, which on the occasion of the centenary proposes, among other things, a special itinerary inspired by the 19th century Grand Tour, reinterpreted with a contemporary touch.
An experience along some of the most spectacular roads in Italy, to enjoy at the controls of the new Multistrada V2, V4 and Rally models. All information is available on the Ducati website. The celebrations will also extend to the Borgo Panigale headquarters, with a new tour at the Ducati Museum, which will temporarily close after World Ducati Week and reopen in the autumn with an even more engaging narrative of the company’s history and evolution.
Numerous collaborations with external partners will enhance the Centenary with very varied content and narrative formats. These include a podcast produced by Chora Media and narrated by the Bolognese writer Enrico Brizzi, and a documentary produced by Minerva Pictures, directed by Alex Infascelli and narrated by the internationally renowned actor Stefano Accorsi, also from Bologna and a great fan of motorsport.
The initiatives also extend to the world of art, thanks to a collaboration with Ugo Nespolo, an international reference figure in Italian contemporary art, who participates in a series of creative projects inspired by this important anniversary, as well as the publication of a commemorative book that reviews the most significant moments of these hundred years of history.
To complete this mosaic of projects, Ducati further reinforces its presence within the framework of EICMA (from November 5 to 8 in Milan), with an exhibition dedicated to the centenary, which is held within the most important fair in the world for the sector, a key point of reference for some time and a meeting opportunity for the international community of the world of two wheels.
