This is what happened

The announcement that Tito Rabat would compete this 2025 with the Yamaha motorcycle in the Superbike World Cup piloting a Yamaha R1 seemed good news. The Japanese motorcycle, favored by the regulations and the bet of the brand with five world champions of the six pilots seemed to promise good results. But what we are seeing on the weekend after weekend is very far from that and except for Andrea Locatelli’s punctual performance in Assen things are being very different from that expected.

This is something that all Yamaha pilots are suffering and, also, Tito Rabat. The Spanish pilot has not been able to highlight, much less. On the contrary, his fight has been to get into the points in a race and has only achieved it in two of the 15 played to add only 3 points.

In five round rounds he has only been able to add 3 points

Tito Rabat could not be how competitive he expected

This situation has been due to lack of competitiveness and technical failures and falls in which Tito Rabat has been involved. But the final result, the only thing that really matters in the races, was not being positive despite the efforts. That is why once the Czech Republic Round is finished, the Italian team and the Spanish pilot have decided to put an end to their collaboration.

This was collected by the statement made public: «In common agreement with the pilot Tito Rabat, Yamaha Motoxringing Worldsbk Team announces his decision to terminate the contract with said pilot. Despite the great effort made by the team and by the pilot himself, unfortunately the results have not been positive. Therefore, the decision to separate the roads has been made, to allow both parties to pursue their respective objectives. Yamaha Motoxringing Worldsbk Team thanks Tito Rabat for his professionalism and wishes him the best of luck in the future. »

Despite efforts, the results have not arrived
Despite efforts, the results have not arrived

For now Rabat has no team at the WSBK but is also competing in the Esbk Speed Spanish Championship, where he already managed to win a couple of seasons. We will see if the Spanish pilot finds a mount that is more competitive in the remainder of the season. Nor are the Yamaha Motoxring Plans known for the moment to replace the Spanish and be a companion of Bahattin Sofuoglu.
