This supermoto with the new Honda V3 engine gives us very long teeth

One of the most important firsts presented at the last EICMA 2024, is undoubtedly the prototype of the future Honda V3 engine shown by the Japanese brand at the famous Milanese event. Among the most relevant data that this new propellant will offer us, we can highlight:

  • A 75° four-stroke V3 engine equipped with an electric compressor to deliver a significant increase in torque at low and mid-range rpm, regardless of engine rpm.
  • Recently developed for larger displacement motorcycles
  • Compact and extremely slim dimensions with enormous potential for new models.

The Honda V3 engine powering a Supermotard?

Now, thanks to the colleagues of Down Visorwe have known the particular vision that he has Muzza.nz (a virtual designer focused on the world of two wheels), on the use that could be given, once fully developed, to the aforementioned Honda V3 Engine. He opted for a Supermotard style frame that he named Honda V3 850 SM.

In the publication he made on his Instagram account he says: “All I want for Christmas is a supercharged Honda V3 850 SM! Honda’s beautiful new supercharged V3 concept should ride on more than just a sports bike… What do you think? Would you buy it?”

If we take a look at their publications, we can find other designs based on a possible MV Agusta 800RR in SM version, or a Kawasaki KX750 following this same philosophy of use. All of them stand out for their muscular appearance and for being equipped with powerful engines with which you can fully enjoy the qualities of a motorcycle of this type.

Now, would Honda be willing to mount its V3 engine in a model with these characteristics? That is something that we cannot yet know, because the brand itself has not commented on that matter.

We bet on a new generation of VFR powered by this Honda V3 engine, and from some Japanese media they decline the possibility of the arrival of a Honda RCV85 showing us in a long article all the possible uses of this mechanics in future models of the brand.

The future Honda V3 engine is beginning to be used on the internet in really interesting virtual concepts

What is clear is that the Honda V3 engine will mark a before and after within the golden wing firm. 40 years after the iconic NS400R two-stroke, the brand returns to its strengths by surprising us with this new V3 engine, which also includes really interesting technical aspects

In addition, there are other interests within the brand, which are not only related to commercial matters and its range of street motorcycles, such as the new regulations that will be implemented in MotoGP by 2027.
