QJMotor seems to be launching a three-cylinder model very soon with the arrival of this striking model in its range. Rino 900 ADV. It is not clear if this would be the definitive commercial name, although everything suggests so. A platform that Motorrad Online also associates with the future and expected Benelli Trek 900.
QJMotor Rino 900 ADV: What we know
The main novelty in the new and technological QJMotor mount is the arrival of the three-cylinder engine on which the brand has been working for some time now. Already at the beginning of this season we showed you the first images of the patent registration and in them we confirmed the fact that it is directly related to an automated shifting system with a configuration similar to that used by the Yamaha Y-AMT, with two external actuators (clutch and shift lever).
With the arrival of the Rino 900 ADV, the Chinese firm opens a new episode in its recent history, going one step further in all aspects with respect to its current SRT range. Furthermore, it does so with the help of a stylized image in the purest style of renowned Italian designs.
In fact, its name comes from the abbreviation of Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros). Even its logo refers to this commercial name, something that brings back memories for some of us directly of what the Cagiva models once were, and the well-known elephant as a symbol. scudetto.
In the case of the Rino 900 ADV, behind the logo design is C-Creative, founded by Giovanni Castiglioni and Adrian Morton, both with ties to such relevant brands as MV Agusta. Returning to the mechanical section, the QJMotor three-cylinder engine is not too far from the one that prevails in the mechanics of the same technical architecture that Zontes mounts in some of its models.
This in turn is clearly inspired by the CP3 that equips Yamaha mounts. This mechanical compendium should offer a final power around the 100 HP and a maximum torque of around 76 Nm. As for the cycle part, the engine is anchored to the chassis in a self-supporting manner.
The swingarm, for its part, is presented in conventional double-arm form and, like the subframe, would be made of aluminum. The suspensions that the Rino 900 ADV will mount are likely to be supplied by Marzocchi, with an inverted front fork and a central rear monoshock.
As for braking, signed by Brembo, it uses two front discs, one rear disc and radially anchored calipers on the front of the motorcycle. The set would come integrated into a pair of spoked wheels, 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear. To complete the equipment, QJMotor adds complete equipment where no detail is lacking: Central stand, adjustable screen, crankcase protector or a full-color TFT screen would be included as standard elements.
It is also likely that we will have cruise control, Full-LED lighting and even heated grips and seat. All this for an estimated final price that should not exceed too much that of its most direct competitors with three-cylinder mechanics of similar performance: 10,000 euros? We will soon find out.
