Last weekend, an annual event was held in Malaysia Ell Art of Speed 2025, among other things, some novelties in the two -wheel world. Among them the newly founded Japanese brand Thunder Motorcycles, that took the opportunity to officially present its first model, the Thunder 250in turn unfolded in paths of finishing: Hardtail and Softail.

Thunder Motorcycles, as we have been able to verify on its official website, is another brand that joins the current trend within the sector. We refer to that although it has its origin and foundation in Japan, the manufacture of its current models is carried out in China. As we have already been able to verify with other mounts of this segment, the Thunder 250 offers a truly shocking aesthetic to be a small cylindrated mount.

In fact, if we have not known what we are facing a brand that will market a range of series mounts, we would have concluded that its first model was the work of a recognized coach of the sector.

You just have to recreate in the details that make up the Thunder 250 to secondary this idea: Front fork “Spring Fork”, rigid rear tinde, radial tires of 16 “with 5” tires on both axes, or a Bobber style seat placed only 650 mm from the ground, they are part of their attributes.

Presented in two variants, hardtail and softable, with the only difference between the two of the rear suspension system (the software has a shock absorber, while the hardtail does not), they are equipped with a bicylindrical propeller in V 249 cc that offers a final power of 17 CV at 8,000 rpm and 19 nm of maximum torque at 6,000 rpm. The block is fed by an electronic fuel injection system (EFI) and associated with a five -speed gearbox and final chain transmission.

Other technical -looking details are, for example, having a brake disc on each axis, 300 mm in front and 280 mm behind, both assisted by a double channel ABS system. With a dry -declared weight around 180 kilograms, we can refuel only 7 liters of gasoline in its stylized tank in the form of tear, which translates into a scarce autonomy in almost any circumstance.

The new Thunder 250 will start their commercialization at the end of next October, with an official price that starts from 850,000 yen if we talk about the hardtail variant. Whoever opts for the rear shock absorber must disburse 906,000 Japanese yen, about 5,300 euros to change.
