This is a work done by Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) together with Calty Design Research, who were responsible for the design of the latest Land Cruiser. However, they did not want to stay there, because they believed that they could do something with a more emotional point. Taking the heritage of convertible SUVs and the safari style, the bodywork was modified, giving rise to a prototype with a lot of personality. More than 50% of the components are new and the premise was that the occupants they felt totally connected to the outside.
The skeleton is similar and has a canvas hood that opens to the outside.
