Triumph has recently registered, before the Swiss authorities, the documentation in relation to its new special editions Alpine and Desert which will be offered for the next season within the Tiger 900 range of the British firm.
As happened in 2020, both models will be made up of a series of specific elements around their equipment and finishes.
TRIUMPH TIGER 900 ALPINE AND DESERT EDITION IN DETAIL
Motorcycle’s colleagues, who have had access to the homologation documents of the future Tiger 900 GT Alpine Edition and Tiger 900 Rally Desert Edition, have detailed some of the main features on which both editions will be based. Although the technical aspect is kept unchanged, they will carry, as already happened in 2020, special equipment, such as two types of escape for each model.
As for the technical configuration, the Tiger 900 Rally Desert Edition will be based on the platform of the current Pro Rally, with 21 and 17 inches radial tires, in front and behind respectively and a final weight of 227 kilograms.
For its part, the Tiger 900 GT Alpine Edition adopts the configuration used by the current GT Pro, although the final weight is increased by 2 kilograms in the special edition, we assume that by the addition of extra equipment.
Although the conclusive aspects that will differentiate the new Tiger 900 Alpine and Desert Edition have not been revealed, we can guide us for what both versions of the well -known Trail model offered us at the time. The Triger 1200 Desert Edition Triumph had special ‘Sandstorm’ paint, specific graphics and new metallic emblems ‘were’ on the radiator’s sides. It also included 5 driving modes, Titanium Arrow silencer, semi -automatic change and 37 -liter capacity of 37 liters of capacity each.
For its part, the Tiger Tiger 1200 Alpine Edition was presented under the color scheme ‘Snowdonia White’, specific graphics ‘Alpine Edition’ and new metallic emblems ‘was’ on the sides of the radiator. This also had 4 driving modes, Titanium Arrow silencer, semi -automatic change and a team of expedition suitcases.
However, as the Canadian media, the Tiger 900 GT, GT Pro and Rally Pro 2026 clarify will include the ‘Snowdonia White’ with graphite as a standard color for the Pro Rally, and the ‘Snowdonia White’ with black sapphire as an optional color for the GT and GT Pro.
Therefore, it is likely that the British brand ends up offering its new Tiger 900 GT Alpine Edition and Tiger 900 Rally Desert Edition in other colors different from those used at the time in the same special editions launched on the Tiger 1200 Platform of 2020.
