The next July 4, 5, 6 and 7, the Leonese town of Riaño will open again to the world to celebrate the fifth edition of the Motor & Mountain Fest 2024, one of the largest festivals of all those held in Spain in relation to the world of motors and motorcycles. Furthermore, this year the organization has prepared a very complete program so that attendees can enjoy multiple and varied activities.
Motor & Mountain Fest 2024: Everything you need to know so you don’t miss anything
These will begin on Thursday 4th in the afternoon with a spectacular Scrambler & Off Road route through the mountainous surroundings of the Montaña de Riaño and Mampodre Regional Park, and will end on Sunday 7th at noon with the “Strongman” competition and the subsequent awards ceremony.
In between, Friday’s program highlights La Mina, a non-competitive test prepared for trail, scrambler and enduro motorcycles from different eras, which will take place in the morning at the Sabero mine. In the afternoon, owners of classic Land Rovers will be able to enjoy a very entertaining route around Riaño, an activity that is part of the Motor & Mountain Fest 2024 since its inception and that this year it will be carried out twice by repeating itself during the afternoon of the next day.
The Saturday plan includes the already classic route along the winding roads in the area, which will be completed in the morning and which can be freely signed up for by all those who wish to do so with their scrambler, café racer, custom, flat track and classic motorcycles. Within the “M&M” grounds, Saturday afternoon will be enlivened by the humour of Javito Rivas and his monologue “Recalculando Ruta”. He will be accompanied by his inseparable C15 and all those owners of the tireless Citroën model who wish to join the party will be welcome.
A new road route is planned for Sunday morning, but in this case it will be open to all types of motorcycles. Furthermore, the program Motor & Mountain Fest 2024 includes several “Trial Shows” (one on Friday, two on Saturday and one on Sunday) starring the expert pilots Jordi Pascuet and Marcel Justribó at the controls of their respective Sherco trials.
On the other hand, the show “Gypsy Wall of Death” (“the wall of death”) will hold up to 10 impressive sessions spread across Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Another notable activity of the program is the now classic “Slow Race” in which the last one to arrive without putting a foot on the ground wins, and in which motorcycles and mopeds can be registered. To this we must add the “Bike Show” contest of transformed motorcycles, and the “Spicy Burger” test to find out who is capable of eating the spiciest burger.
Once again this year, the Italian firm Moto Guzzi will be actively present with its Demo Tour, allowing you to test the brand’s models on guided tours. And of course, good live music will not be lacking in Motor & Mountain Fest 2024On Friday night you can enjoy the performance of the legendary group Obús and on Saturday you can enjoy the performance of Mojinos Escozíos. Also present will be Los Bengala, Susan Santos, Chicle, Los Pontiaks and Nacho Old String, as well as the DJs Mr. Cong and Dri Dri, who will entertain all attendees with their music at different times.
And if all this were not enough, the fifth edition of Motor & Mountain Fest 2024 will bring together more than 50 exhibitors in tune with the event. Thus, motorcycle converters and tuners, accessories and clothing sellers, airbrushing, vehicle camperization and barber shops will be present. There will also be a good number of “food trucks” with different styles of very good quality food and a large covered bar.
