Where to see the 2025 Australian Grand Prix, schedules and more information

The Australian Grand Prix usually arrives on a date in the season that is decisive for the outcome of the championship. But this year, with the title decided in favor of Marc Márquez and with the champion out of action due to injury, it could seem that he has lost some of his attractions. But nothing could be further from the truth, because the characteristics of Phillip Island mean that the Australian Grand Prix never disappoints, and surely this year will be no different.

There will be several protagonists who seek to take advantage of Marc’s absence to stand out, on a track that has a greater number of left curves and which, therefore, would have been a favorable layout for him. But among all the candidates, perhaps there are three that stand out from the rest right now, at least as seen in the last Grand Prix.

On the one hand we have Álex Márquez, who in recent weekends seems to be recovering the sensations he lost after the injury in Assen, and who is prominent in second position overall and with an advantage of 88 points over Pecco Bagnaia, which means that he has the runner-up position within reach although mathematically he still has a way to go to achieve it.

Raúl Fernández continues to progress in each GP

On the other we have Marco Bezzecchi, who despite the mistake in Indonesia in which he took Marc ahead, is showing himself in total communion with the Aprilia RS-GP and, therefore, all the spotlights are focused on him. And, in the same way, we must take into account Pedro Acosta who is growing with the KTM, and who lacks some consistency that will make him take a leap forward when he achieves it.

That does not mean that drivers like the winner of the Indonesian GP, Fermín Aldeguer, do not enter the pools. But based on what we have seen so far this season, the fact of being a rookie in the category has made his performances less consistent than that of the established ones. Even so, the Murcian has amply demonstrated why Ducati opted for him and why he deserves to be in MotoGP, called to be one of the great riders of the next decade.

In the pool of possible protagonists are the Yamaha riders, with Quartaro at the front, but in the last races we have also been able to see Rins, Oliveira and Miller being competitive despite not using the V4. At the end of the day, Phillip Island is such a special track that it allows anything to happen at the Australian GP, including the wind, rain or cold that on other occasions have conditioned the activity on the track.

One more weekend we only have two official options to be able to enjoy everything that happens at the Australian GP and both require payment. On the one hand we have DAZN, which has been broadcasting the press conference since Thursday to culminate with Sunday’s races, also adding interviews, analysis and reports. It can be followed through the digital platform itself or on TV with the operators that have the service.

There is also the option of the MotoGP Videopass, which can no longer be contracted in Spain and refers us to DAZN, but which is still available to all those who have their subscription up to date. As always, all content is narrated in English and in addition to all press conferences, training sessions and races, it offers access to historical and other exclusive content.
