Coinciding with the MotoGP Austria GP we have known new details about the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup, the Monomarca Cup in which the imposing American motorcycles will share competition weekends with MotoGP.
It is a different bet in which apparently series bikes, which are based on the Grand American Touring platform, but that have great preparation behind them, will compete in the same event as the most advanced prototypes on the planet. The idea is to internationalize what in the United States has been a success, the King of the Baggers, although in this case limited only to Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
The details of the motorcycles have not yet been made public, and the teams and pilots that will participate with 300 kg beasts and that are far from what is sought in competition are not known: which is the greatest possible lightness to scratch tenths to the chrono.
What we do know is that the entire action will take place mainly in the European continent, with the exception of the inaugural round that will be held in the country of origin of the primal category.
The first edition of the championship will have six rounds, with two races in each of them, as with other complementary categories of the championship such as Motoe or the Red Bull Rookies Cup. It will start in the month of March in the United States and end in September in Austria. Among Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Spain will be the rest of the countries that will visit the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup.
