Xyte One, the curious three -wheeled electric that seeks to change urban mobility

It is not the first time that a brand tries to reinvent the urban vehicle with unconventional formulas, similar to that of our protagonist today, the Xyte One. In the early 2000s, BMW already dared with the C1, a roof scooter that dispensed with the helmet thanks to its structure and belts. That idea was forgotten, but the debate on new mobility solutions has never disappeared.

Now it is Xyte Mobility who takes a step forward with this Xyte One, an electric tricycle that seeks to make a place in the big cities. Its proposal moves in a hybrid terrain: it has a handle like a motorcycle, but also safety belts, which moves it away from the traditional concept of Scooter and brings it closer to an urban micro vehicle.

The big question in this case is whether such a singular approach will convince the public. It is true that electric mobility is gaining weight in cities and the offer is being increasing with manufacturers, seeking to reduce costs to make it cheaper, input and, therefore, more attractive.

The launch price is 13.008 euros VAT included

The Xyte One has advantages of scooter and car and, of course, it is singular

To move, the Xyte One sets an electric motor that is capable of offering 19 kW or what is the same 25 hp. The maximum torque is 55 Nm and the speed is limited to 99 km/h. A figure that, without being high, is sufficient to develop with ease both in the city and in circumvalations. The 7.6 kWh battery offers up to 112 km of autonomy and can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in just over two hours, provided that a compatible or at work is available.

Beyond numbers, the striking is in practical details. The vehicle has a 72 -liter trunk that allows you to carry from the purchase to a backpack and also includes reversing, something that facilitates maneuvers in tight spaces. Ergonomics has also been taken care of: with a low 63 cm seat and a reduced turn radius, it is easy to drive in narrow streets.

Because of its characteristics, the use of helmet or other protection elements is not necessary

In the technological section, the XYTE One incorporates a 10 -inch touch screen, LTE connectivity and a mobile application with remote navigation and monitoring functions, being in an unusual terrain for vehicles in this format. From the dynamic point of view, the double front trapezoid with vertical shock absorbers provides poise and stability, an important factor in an concept that mixes motorcycle and car features.

Another key detail is that, being approved within the category of vehicles with seat belt, can be driving with card B without a helmet. A characteristic that makes it a rare Avis within current mobility and that remembers, in a way, that BMW C1 two decades ago, although now with three wheels and an approach closer to that of an electric microcoche.

The brand announces a promotional price of 13,008 euros for the first 500 units, positioning the Xyte One as a striking proposal within the range of urban options. For more information and details you can consult directly on the official website of the manufacturer in our country.
