Yamaha’s Supersport range dresses up for the 70th Anniversary

Based on the livery worn by the 1999 limited-edition, competition-focused R7, the white and red color combination evokes memories of Yamaha’s Supersport models of the ’90s.

The 70th anniversary colors were first seen earlier this year, with the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP and Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP teams sporting the unique livery at the Assen circuit as the 70th anniversary celebrations begin.

The Yamaha Racing Team and YART also wore this livery at the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours, where their drivers Jack Miller, Andrea Locatelli and Katsuyuki Nakasuga finished second on the podium.

The occasion was also marked by the Yamaha FIM Superbike World Championship and Supersport World Championship teams, with liveries inspired by these colors at the Jerez Circuit in October.

The Yamaha Supersport range now in the 70th Anniversary colors

In 2026, the R125, R3, the new Yamaha R7 and the award-winning Yamaha R9 will be available in 70th anniversary white and red colors, which combine Qualitative Pearlish White and rich, sporty red and black with Yamaha’s historic speedblock graphics.

The logo on each model has a ’90s look, while the iconic fretboard logo is gold, rather than silver like Yamaha’s Factory Racing machines. The Supersport range will also be updated with the standard Icon Blue and Black colors by 2026. For more information and details you can consult the brand’s official website.
