As happened last August with the presentation of the new ZXMoto 820X, the Chinese brand returns to the fray just a few months later with what is proposed as the “Sport-Tourer” variant assembled on this versatile technical platform, the 820GT. A motorcycle for which, at the moment, there is no official data, although “Rumors suggest that it will not enter series production until 2028”as confirmed by local media.
ZXMoto expands its technology to new segments
It is no secret at this point in the film that ZXMoto, with Zhang Xue At the helm, it seeks to expand its range of models to as many segments as possible. A common practice in newly created Chinese brands. Let’s not forget that the former founder of Kove has been leading this project for just three years and the results speak for themselves.

Both at a commercial and sporting level, successes do not stop knocking on the company’s door. With the future 820GT, ZXMoto fully follows the philosophy shown so far in each and every one of the models that the brand has presented. This involves maximizing the technical resources that the company has, where the latest mechanical and technological boasts take center stage, putting at the service of the end customer a product with excellent value for money.
ZXMoto 820GT 2028?: what we know
Starting from the aluminum perimeter chassis released in the sporty 820RR, ZXMoto focuses the whole towards the “Sport-Tourer” segment thanks to the addition of equipment intended for this, as well as the modification of the main geometries of the new model. Mechanically, the already known 819 cc inline three-cylinder engine It is conveniently softened to adapt it to the new functions required by a frame with these characteristics.

In any case, from China there is talk of a final power of 115 hp for an empty weight of approx. 210kg. ZXMoto declares, as in the ADV variant, a top speed of 220 km/h. Other key features of this 820GT would be a brake system signed by Taisko along with a suspension system supplied by Yu’an.
Both equipment would be assisted by a top-level technological arsenal: Electronic accelerator or cornering ABS would be among them. All this without forgetting those essential elements to turn a motorcycle like the 820GT into a tireless tourer.

Here it is very likely that ZXMoto will go all out with a long list of accessories that include, for example, an adjustable windshield, heated grips and seat, large TFT screen, cruise control or a specific suitcase kit. In any case, all of this would still be confirmed.
Model price and availability
As we have already clarified from the beginning, ZXMoto has not yet officially announced this interesting 820GT. However, our Chinese colleagues have speculated about the official price that the model may have in its country of origin once it is launched in 2028: “It will probably be between 40,000 and 50,000 yuan. Compared with the more than 150,000 yuan of the NT1100, this represents a significant price reduction,” they expose.

If this prediction finally occurs, there is no doubt that the Asian brand would enter very strongly within this competitive “Sport-Tourer” segment where we not only have the aforementioned Honda model, as a reference. Other rivals at the level of the Multistrada V2 or Kawasaki’s Versys 1100 await ZXMoto’s disruptive 820GT with sharp teeth.
