154 “Old School” motorcycles paraded through the Moroccan desert

Once again, the SandRaiders has become the center of attention of all those classic Offroad fans who have passed through Morocco in recent days. An event that year after year is consolidated in the annual calendar of this type of experiences, thanks to its incredible route and the passion shown by its participants.

In this last SandRaiders 2024 There have been no less than 154 horses that have registered to travel the more than 1,500 kilometers scheduled through Moroccan lands. Among the participants was Harry Metcalfe, founder of the YouTube channel Harry's Garage and the well-known EVO magazine.

SandRaiders 2024: An epic adventure

Harry himself showed us a few days ago some of the Offroad motorcycles that were participating in this SandRaiders Morocco. As we can see in the video published on his YouTube channel, he used a Yamaha TT600 to complete the route chosen this year by the organization.

For his part, his son Charlie, also present at the iconic test, did the same on the back of a Honda XR600R, another classic in this type of events due to its well-known reliability and simplicity to prepare. We can verify this fact with just a glance at all those elements carried by the specimen used by Charlie.

From a new front disc, longer suspension travel or a folding footpeg kit. Other eye-catching frames, such as a Honda XL600LM, or a completely remodeled Yamaha XT600, are also the protagonists of this video. The latter even including a complete rally fairing or a Roadbook.

In total, according to the Ride Apart colleagues, 154 motorcycles gathered, with 37 Suzukis, 41 Yamahas, 57 Hondas, 15 KTMs and 3 BMWs. All of them sporting that look from the last century that is so popular among fans of Offroad and Raid, but also of Old School frames.

The organization of SandRaiders is already preparing new events, both for this year and for next 2025. The next date to enjoy such an experience will be from November 9 to 17, 2024 and will take place in the Tunisian desert. 7 stages and more than 1,500 kilometers that are summarized as follows:

  • Stage 1: Djerba – Matmata (11/10/2024)
  • Stage 2: Matmata – Touzeur (11/11/2024)
  • Stage 3: Touzeur – Douz (12/11/2024)
  • Stage 4 (LOOP): Douz – Douz (11/13/2024)
  • Stage 5: Douz – Tembaine (11/14/2024)
  • Stage 6: Tembaine – Ksar Guilane (11/15/2024)
  • Stage 7: Ksar Guilane – Djerba (11/16/2024)
