Although Carlos Checa retired from the competition a few years ago, his connection with the competition is still very present. On the one hand, we regularly see and hear him during MotoGP narrations and, on the other, he is a Nolan ambassador. The Italian manufacturer and the Spanish driver began their collaboration back in 1994, and have been together ever since.
Now, to celebrate three decades of union, Nolan has launched the Nolan X-804 RS UC Czech 30TH Anniversary, a helmet so special that only 30 units will be manufactured and on demand. In fact, the delivery time is 60 days after the order and in the process, you will begin by first choosing the numbering from 2 to 30 that is desired and available, and then choosing the size and paying for it. Number 1 will not be available, as it will go to the charity auction organized by Memento Exclusives, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Ángel Nieto Foundation (in collaboration with Aspar Team) to support the Valencian Community, as desired by Carlos Checa.
What is the Nolan X-804 RS UC Czech 30Th Anniversary like?
The helmet from which it starts is the Nolan X-804 RS Ultra Carbon, the most advanced model that we can find in the Italian firm’s catalog and shares all its characteristics with it. Logically, it has ECE 22.06 approval and, as its name indicates, it is made of carbon.
But the most important thing about this new model is in the design, which directly emulates the “Mappamondo” design that the Catalan popularized since 2010 and that was crowned with the 2011 WSBK title. Since then it has been characteristic of Checa and it still sports it every time he gets on the motorcycle.
As for the details, leaving aside that characteristic design, the outer shell is made of carbon with liquid paint, which allows it, on the one hand, to offer that background color that we can see, while the carbon continues to appear and shining on the surface.
We also find the pearl white color for the drawing of the globe, the turquoise blue for the lines of the hemisphere and all the details with the stamps in gold, as well as the signature of Carlos Checa himself, his mythical number seven and the stamps that symbolize the trips.
The Nolan To top off the pack, Nolan will include a neck warmer.
In addition to the helmet itself and its accessories, those who buy it will have the opportunity to visit the Nolan factory in Brembate di Sopra and also a virtual Meet&Greet with Checa himself, to be able to talk with other buyers with the pilot and discover all the stories that Catalan can tell.
As for the price, each and every one of the units will have a PV of 1,600 euros with VAT, shipping and customs fees included, and can be purchased through the website of the Italian manufacturer nolan-helmets.com.
