In India they are pushing to manufacture ‘fake’ Suzuki Hayabusa for only €1,200… and it is difficult to distinguish them from the original

For a few years now, the construction of replicas of iconic models has become a trend in some parts of the planet. There are even those who, starting from a humble frame of just 150 cc, manage to manufacture a Suzuki Hayabusa to scale with great detail.

More than one (and two), you would probably not realize that you are facing a “Busa Fake” until you hear it ripped off. If you don’t believe me you can take a look at this video.

Your custom Hayabusa from just 1,200 euros

After watching different videos and publications from several of these local companies specialized in replicas of all kinds, one thing has become clear to me: “necessity sharpens ingenuity“You just have to see them lying in the middle of a dusty street manufacturing one of these Suzuki Hayabusa replicas in a completely artisanal way.

Furthermore, they have reached such a level of specialization that they practically mount the transformation kit on almost any street model sold in India: Dominar 400, Pulsar N250, CBR 250 or Bajaj 220, are among them. Undoubtedly the only thing that these customizations are similar to a Suzuki GXR-R1300 is in the aesthetic aspect. So much so that, for example, the second front disc brake is a problem.

The speedometer integrated into the dashboard in the style and similarity of the one fitted to the Hayabusa does not work either. In any case, some of these companies have been perfecting the level of finishes over time. Adjusting the proportions more and more, but also focusing on small details that, together, provide an increasingly successful aesthetic. And all for a total cost that, depending on the model, starts from just 1,200 euros at the exchange rate.

But this is not all since, in addition to the Suzuki Hayabusa, they are also specialized in other types of replicas from different brands such as Harley-Davidson or Yamaha. They might as well build a chopper with great detail as a radical sports car, even if only visually. Of course, it seems that these types of extreme modifications are prohibited from traveling on the road, according to current Indian regulations.

In India it is possible to have a Hayabusa for a tenth of what it costs

As explained from a local media “It should be noted that such extensive modifications as this are illegal in India. If the police were to review the motorcycle’s documentation, the owner would have to pay heavy fines and the vehicle would be towed.” A complete contradiction taking into account the multitude of workshops dedicated to replicating models, and the huge number of Fake Suzuki Hayabusas that have been rolling around the country for a few years now.
