Most likely the definitive Sport-Turismo that followers of the German brand were waiting for.
An M 1000 RS based on the current M 1000 RR
Currently, the BMW Motorrad range only has one model that carries the RS acronym in its commercial identity: the R 1300 RS. However, this is based on a philosophy quite far removed from that offered by the explosive M 1000 RR: a 999 cc four-cylinder inline engine, cooled by water or oil with four titanium valves per cylinder and a variable control of the intake camshaft BMW ShiftCam is its main letter of introduction.
218 hp at 14,500 rpm the result of this technological technological compendium. Perhaps for all this, the Munich firm feels obliged to combine both concepts to give life to the definitive Sport-Turismo. And the recent patent registration confirms that it would already be there. Certified together with the aforementioned M 1000 RR, we would be talking in both cases of 2027 models, which would surely be shown in public in the final stages of this same year, 2026.
The foundation for a motorcycle of this type
Based on the current BMW Motorrad range, one stops to think if a model like this really makes sense at this time. The answer is clear to this question: totally.
