The Inclusive Motorcycle Commission of the Royal Spanish Motorcycle Federation (RFME) held on September 12 and 13 the Raider Day of Inclusive Motorcycling in the facilities of The Bunker Moto Area. An initiative aimed at people with reduced mobility that sold out before registration closed.
32 participants and two intense days
Raider Day took place at El Búnker Moto Area, a space specialized in off-road motorcycling with two motocross circuits, a dirt track track, a trial area and a super enduro circuit. The route, designed specifically for the occasion, combined technical areas and a faster area with jumps and obstacles, on electric all-terrain vehicles with adapted mobility provided by Exotek.
A weekend in which even 32 participants They came to enjoy this activity. The RFME made the necessary resources available to the activity to guarantee its proper development, including the contracting of the corresponding insurance and the installation of an adapted bathroom.
The Inclusive Motorcycle Commission also worked on setting up shaded areas, hydrating participants and an exclusive parking lot. All of this was possible thanks to an important organizational effort, which made it possible to achieve a great day in which all participants completed the experience without any mishap or accident.
The 1st edition has become a success in participation
Raider Day was not intended solely as a sporting activity. The initiative was born with the aim of demonstrating that physical barriers do not have to prevent the enjoyment of motorcycling and to explore new possibilities so that people with reduced mobility can continue to be linked to this sport.
Among the participants was Antonio Gallego Ramosa former motocross rider whose sporting career and personal experience represent the spirit of this initiative especially well. After suffering an injury that changed his circumstances, his participation in Raider Day allowed him to see first-hand how a person linked to motocross can enjoy off-road riding again through adapted solutions.
“I want to thank the RFME for giving me the opportunity to feel that adrenaline of riding on an MX circuit again. I thought it was a great initiative for people who love off road and who, due to our condition, cannot enjoy it like before”he commented during the event.
