In the final stages of 2023, Ducati presented its special series to the world “Diavel for Bentley” in collaboration with the British builder. A limited and numbered edition that those at Borgo Panigale described as a hymn to the “exclusivity, performance, and craftsmanship in an authentic work of art on two wheels”. With only 550 examples builtbecame de facto one of the most iconic motorcycles built in series by the Italian firm throughout its 100-year history.
“Diavel for Bentley”: a unique motorcycle in terms of elegance and design
Revealed to the public in the context of Art Basel week in Miami Beach, the “Diavel for Bentley” marked the first collaboration between both brands. “With a vision of performance, craftsmanship and exclusivity, the result is a surprising synthesis of technology, style and performance capable of making enthusiasts dream”they said then from Ducati. And they were right considering the two limited series resulting from this agreement.
On the one hand, a numbered edition of 500 units, inspired by the Bentley Batur and built on the technical base of the Diavel V4. On the other hand, even more elitist, “Ducati Diavel for Bentley Mulliner”a limited and numbered series of 50 additional units reserved for Bentley customers that they would have the opportunity to make the motorcycle even more unique and exclusive at all levels.
2027 will mark the return of the “Diavel for Bentley”
Recently, thanks to the documentation registered by Ducati before the California Air Resources Board (CARB), We have been aware of the new project that both brands are working on around a new limited series “Diavel for Bentley”. From Visor Down, who have been one of the first to echo the news, they confirm how both companies could be preparing the launch for next year.
“Two models are specifically mentioned in the documentation: a ‘Ducati Diavel for Bentley’ and a ‘Ducati Diavel for Bentley Mulliner’. Both new motorcycles appear in the same documentation as the standard Diavel and the Diavel S,” they say from the British media. If so, everything indicates that the next limited series “Diavel for Bentley” could adopt the same commercial initiative used in 2023.
That is, in parallel, offering two different versions of the product through special “Standard” and “Mulliner” series. The latter manufactured by Bentley’s internal division, dedicated to vehicle customization and responsible for the company’s most exclusive and highly-prepared automobiles. Let us remember that Mulliner has more than 100 years of history creating truly unique models within the prestigious Bentley range.
Although, for now, the exact moment of the presentation has not been confirmed, it is very likely that, as already happened in 2023, it will take place in the final stages of this year and later, already fully immersed in 2027, the first units of this iconic limited series will be delivered. We assume that, as then, it will not be easy or cheap to acquire a copy of the special numbered “Diavel for Bentley” series.
At the time, the brand announced an official price of 65,000 euros for the standard variant of the model; Another very different thing was to get one of the 50 Diavel for Bentley Mulliner units, with a base starting rate of around 85,000 euros (fully configurable to the taste of its new owner). That is why we assume that this new generation will be “significantly” more expensive than the one offered in 2023.
