Albaida and the interior of Valencia: a paradise to discover by motorcycle

Rider Soul accelerates its expansion with two new events in 2026: Guadalajara and Valencia. It also does so by promoting secondary roads as the best setting to enjoy a motorcycle. That is why your Valencian event will take place in the interior part of the community and not so much in the coastal part of it.

Today we want to review what it has to offer us Albaida and the Vall d’Albaida: its roads, landscapes, towns and typical inland gastronomy. A place away from the hustle and bustle that not only allows us to enjoy the experience in a more peaceful way. It also has endless surprises with which to delight its visitors, including, of course, those who tour the area at the controls of a motorcycle.

Vall d’Albaida: Tradition and nature in perfect harmony

This is perhaps the best way to describe the geographical, cultural and population environment that makes up this region of the Valencian interior. In it a valley is interspersed with more than thirty towns with a surprising variety of landscapes. The Clariano and Albaida rivers stand out here; the Mariola mountain ranges, declared a natural park, the Grossa and Agullent mountain ranges, as well as the Benicadell and Buixcarró mountain ranges.

All accompanied by typical plantations of the area where vineyards, olive trees, carob trees and orange trees paint an idyllic setting for riding a motorcycle. Whether alone or in company, Vall d’Albaida leaves no one indifferent. The 34 towns that make up this region, which include recognized enclaves such as Ontinyent, L’Olleria, Albaida, Benigánim, Aielo de Malferit, Bocairent, La Pobla del Duc, Agullent, offer us a wide range of cultural and gastronomic possibilities.

Not everything is going to be riding a motorcycle

As the Valencian Tourist Office argues, Vall d’Albaida is the place to feed the senses. Also our stomach when, in the middle of the route, it asks us to stop to eat. Baked coke with olive oil, tomato and pepper, cod pericana, baked rice or paella (summer, with beans and green beans; winter, with broad beans and artichokes), are some of the star avocados in the area. We must not forget to have dessert.

For example, some sweet potato pastissets or the delicious nuts and fondant yolks typical of the area. And after a lunch of this level we have the possibility of visiting some of the most important places of interest in the place, including, for example:

  • Museum of Natural Sciences, Ceramics and Antiquities of Ontinyent
  • Museum of Handicrafts d’Atzeneta
  • Mariano Jornet Perales Archaeological Museum
  • Nino Bravo Museum
  • Permanent Exhibition of Nativity Scenes and Dioramas

Furthermore, in some of the municipalities of the Vall d’Albaida we will have the possibility of carrying out activities as diverse as balloon flights over the Sierra de Mariola or a picnic among the vineyards. As you can see, participating in Rider Soul Albaida on next October 24can become much more than a typical motorcycle route. An infinite number of activities can make a difference along the way.

Everything you need to know about Rider Soul Albaida

The Albaida Circuit, in Valencia, will serve as the starting point for Rider Soul Albaida. This combines a route visiting the inland environment of the Vall d’Albaida with options of 300 and 500 km respectively. The 59 euros of registration include a Welcome Pack equipped with a backpack, buff, t-shirt, personalized bib, gifts from collaborators and other products.

All this without forgetting safety, supplies during the tour, rider atmosphere and access to exclusive raffles. And most importantly: Rider Soul is not competitive. There are no stopwatches or time classification. The objective is to enjoy the road, manage navigation, complete the waypoints and share the day with other motorcyclists… Are you in?
