Bajaj publishes the first official teaser of its new Pulsar NS400

It was in 2020 when we informed you for the first time of the possibility that Bajaj was working on a Push NS400 for Asian markets, initially called Bajaj Pulsar RS400, an interesting 40 HP sports car equipped with the engine used in the KTM 390.

Now, after months of expectation in the Asian markets, it seems that the new Push NS400 It is about to be sweet, after the official teaser that the brand itself has published on its social networks. In addition, it will become the most performance-oriented and sporty model in the Indian brand's range.

Although initially the possibility was considered that the new Bajaj 400 model would enter exclusively within the NS range that the brand has, it finally seems that it will end up being part of the Pulsar offer, but including both acronyms and adopting the mechanics it uses. the Dominar 400.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400 in detail

This is none other than the one used by the KTM 390 models, but in its 373 cc version, offering a “decaffeinated” maximum power of 40 HP and 35 Nm. Currently, the new Duke 2024 is the only frame from the Austrian brand that enjoys the renewal of the well-known single-cylinder LC4, having 399 cc for the occasion.

The engine is associated with a six-speed gearbox and has a slipper clutch system. Optionally, a Quickshifter could arrive, or even if necessary, offer a higher specification version that equips it as standard, as clarified by Rush Lane, although this has not been confirmed by the brand.

At the chassis level, the Pulsar NS400 will probably have the chassis used by the current NS200, although suitably revised to withstand the new power figures. Inverted front fork, adjustable rear shock absorber or a brake disc on each axle will also be essential elements in the composition of the new Bajaj mount.

All this for an estimated price of around 2,360 euros, in local currency, about 210,000 rupees. It could be positioned as the sports naked with the best price-performance ratio in the category, although we will have to wait until May 3 to confirm it.
