After passing through the recent Beijing Motorcycle Show, Benelli gave us a preview of some of its most important new features for next season. Among them was this Leoncino Bobber 400. A frame totally different from what we knew until now, within the range of models that carry this same commercial name within the Italian firm.
However, in this first contact with the public, Benelli did not reveal any significant information about this Leoncino Bobber 400, beyond the purely obvious. For example, its engine, with V2 architecture, or some relevant details that could make up its final equipment. What is clear is the model on which the brand has been based for its development, the QJMotor SRV 350 VS.
Leoncino Bobber 400: A new species within the Benelli range
Without a doubt we are facing the birth of a new range, within the portfolio of models that Benelli currently offers us. This Leoncino Bobber 400 becomes the first in its family to opt for a V2 mechanics. Some of the most important key data of the model have been revealed by the colleagues at Motorrad Online, after its registration with the Chinese authorities.
With an exact cylinder capacity of 385ccthis Leoncino Bobber 400 offers a maximum power of 35 HP, taken to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox. He manages to catapult his 170 kilograms dry until the 152 km/h. In addition, it has a cycle part that mixes classicism and modernity in equal parts.
In it we highlight a suspension system composed of an inverted front fork and a pair of lateral shock absorbers at the rear. Braking has one disc per axle, both supported by an ABS system. Everything is anchored by 16” alloy wheels shod with tires measuring 130/90-16 on the front and 150/80-16 on the rear wheel.
If we talk about equipment and finishes, the Leoncino Bobber 400 It includes Full-LED lighting, a circular TFT screen as an instrument panel or a double seat at different heights. The bobber character is highlighted thanks to its side exhaust system with double overlapping outlet or the shape of its handlebars. Details such as the small lion attached to its front fender leave no doubt about its origin.
Its arrival in Europe is expected for the next 2025 season with a price that should be around the orbit of 6,000 euros. An attractive option for those holders of the current A2 license, who are also fans of the custom segment, especially frames with a marked bobber style.
