The last Michelin Aragon MotoGP Grand Prix brought together more than 115,000 people, and culminated with the victory of Marc Márquez before a dedicated fan base. For the students of Master in Motorsport Engineeringthe Grand Prix was a new opportunity to experience from within the reality of competition at the highest level.
For several days, the students participated in a training program designed to make the most of the paddock activity and the professional MotoGP environment. The experience combined technical sessions, team visits, activities with suppliers, group dynamics and direct contact with professionals linked to competitive motorcycling.
Motorsport Engineering from within
The presence of the Master in Motorsport Engineering at the Michelin Grand Prix of Aragon allowed students to connect the content worked on during the course with a real competition environment. The activities linked to Aprilia, VR46 and MOMOVEN exposed the students to the pressure, precision and decision-making in limited time to which the members of these teams are subjected.
From the technical preparation of the teams to the internal organization of the paddock, the students were able to observe how each procedure, each adjustment and each decision are part of a mechanism where engineering, mechanics, data analysis, logistics and communication must work in a coordinated manner.
The program also included activities with technical suppliers directly linked to the world of competition. The students were able to learn up close the technology applied to key elements for safety and performance, such as suits, helmets and specific equipment used in high-level motorcycling.

The training with Dainese and AGV allowed the students of the Master in Motorsport Engineering to understand that performance on the track does not depend solely on the vehicle, but on the entire technical ecosystem that surrounds drivers, teams and manufacturers in a world championship. Another of the highlighted activities was the practical training in composite materials carried out at Magma Composites, in Calanda.
There, students were able to work directly with carbon fiber and make a piece by themselves, practically understanding the level of precision, methodology and technical knowledge that this type of process requires. This session allowed students to get closer to one of the most determining areas of engineering applied to competition.
Sports psychology and group dynamics
In addition to the technical component, the programming included a Sports Psychology session and coaching applied to motorsport. In an environment like MotoGP, where pressure, communication and decision-making are constant, the students of the Master in Motorsport Engineering were able to experience the importance of the human factor within high-performance teams.

Through group dynamics, students analyzed how cohesion, leadership and emotional management directly influence the functioning of a competition structure. A complementary vision that reinforces the idea that motorsport requires technical preparation, the ability to adapt, communication and teamwork.
The 6th edition enters its penultimate stage with Aerodynamics and CFD
After the experiences experienced during the season, the 6th edition of the Master in Motorsport Engineering now faces one of its most relevant technical phases with the beginning of the Aerodynamics and CFD subjects, a key block to understand the behavior of competition vehicles and the role of simulation in the development of performance.
This stage will have the participation of ESSS, which will provide the technical base and the necessary foundations to understand computational fluid dynamics applied to motorsport. Added to this will be the vision of an aerodynamics specialist currently active in Aston Martin’s Formula 1 department.

This will allow students to understand how the initial concept is transferred to real development through case studies linked to the competition. In this way, the program reconnects theory, simulation and practical application, bringing students closer to one of the most complex and determining areas of competition engineering.
With an eye on the future
Throughout these years, more than 200 students have completed the Master in Motorsport Engineering. The training organized by MotorLand Aragón, SEAS Estudios Superiores Abiertos and Universidad San Jorge, continues to reinforce its reference position for those seeking to direct their professional career towards the world of competition.
The program allows students to acquire technical knowledge in areas such as vehicle dynamics, data acquisition and analysis, aerodynamics, CFD, mechanical design, composite materials, equipment management and competition operation. All of this is complemented with face-to-face sessions, technical visits, activities with collaborating companies and direct contact with active professionals.

During the 6th edition, the students of the Master in Motorsport Engineering have already lived training experiences linked to national and international championships and modalities from Karting, WorldSBK, Racing Weekend and even MotoGP, and they will continue to complete their learning with new technical days and exclusive private tests for the students.
Registration open for the 7th edition
The experience lived during MotoGP reinforces the differential character of a formation that is already looking towards its next edition. The Master in Motorsport Engineering has the registration period open for its 7th edition, which will begin in January 2027.
The new edition will have a maximum of 30 places and will maintain the model that has made the program a reference training within motorsport: flexible online training, in-person internships in real competition events, direct contact with active professionals and collaboration with companies linked to the industry.

Registration will remain open until January or until places are filled. As this is a training course with limited places and last vacancies available, it is recommended to apply as soon as possible. Once the quota is filled, the waiting list will be activated in order of request.
