When the initials CS appear on BMW everyone knows that it is something special. It was already present in the past when referring to Sport Coupe and now it has been maintained with a change of meaning. The Competition Sport They are now especially sporty versions of the BMW M and are one point below the radical CSL. To complete the family comes the BMW M4 CS 2024which is the most performance variant of the new Series 4 and makes the most of its mechanics and chassis.
Keeps under the hood the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder which has always been representative of the Bavarian brand. It is the same block that the conventional BMW M4 has, although in this case a few tweaks have been made to improve its performance. They serve to get 20 HP out of the rest of the versions and achieve striking 550 HP and 650 Nm of torque. This version is also linked to the eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission and the M xDrive all-wheel drive system (with active M differential).
Thanks to the improvements, the BMW M4 CS achieves outstanding performance. This translates into an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.1 seconds. In addition, it has a recovery from 80 to 120 km/h in 2.6 seconds and the maximum speed is limited to 302 km/h. In any case, its driving is completely configurable thanks to the different modes available. Traction accepts 4WD, 4WD Sport and 2WD; going from four wheels to being a powered car at the touch of a button.
The same goes for the setup of this example, which benefits from the M adaptive suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers. The M4 CS cannot be missing the forged wheels 19 inches in front and 20 inches in the rear. which have an exclusive design and are shod with track tires. They serve to lighten the weight of the vehicle, along with intensive use of components manufactured with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). They are present on the hood, front splitter, air intakes, exterior mirror housings, diffuser and rear spoiler.
In terms of design it is easy to distinguish to this version of the “conventional”. It can be chosen with the exclusive BMW Individual colors Riviera Blue and Frozen Isle of Man Green Metallic, as well as other details. The kidney grille is frameless and features red contour lines, while the headlights have the yellow lighting accent instead of white, as already introduced on the M4 CSL. Inside you can see the M Alcantara steering wheel along with the M Carbon seats with an upholstery that combines black and red. The moldings are carbon fiber on a good number of surfaces.
