Bridgestone, a global leader in tires and sustainable mobility solutions, continues its collaboration with video game developer and publisher Milestone on the latest installment of its RIDE video game series. RIDE 6 is the most ambitious and complete chapter of the franchise, featuring new and important features, although maintaining the general philosophy of the story that its fans like so much.
After collaborating with Milestone on RIDE 4 and RIDE 5, Bridgestone is once again the official tire supplier of the video game, bringing its premium motorcycle tires from the real world to the virtual circuit. Thanks to a new game physics (Dual-Physics), RIDE 6 players around the world can experience the performance and durability that Bridgestone tires offer riders every day, whether on the road, track or trail.
RIDE 6: The most immersive experience to date
Nico ThuyHead of Motorcycle at Bridgestone EMEA, comments: “RIDE 6 is the most realistic and comprehensive chapter in the series to date, making it the ideal platform to showcase our wide range of premium motorcycle tires and their performance. With expanded modes, new functionality and a stronger Bridgestone presence than ever throughout the experience, the game takes our long-standing collaboration with Milestone to the next level.”
Concludes: “Through the RIDE series, we are both reinforcing our leadership in motorcycle tires and showcasing our racing heritage in a fun and engaging way for riders and gamers around the world.” The big news in RIDE 6 is the RIDE Fest career mode, in which players can put themselves in the shoes of a real driver and have the opportunity to become number one competing against 10 legends of two wheels such as Casey Stoner, Guy Martin and Troy Bayliss.
RIDE Fest includes a chapter dedicated to “Bridgestone Challenge”which offers players the opportunity to test Bridgestone tires in different disciplines and surfaces, from circuit racing to endurance tests. Additionally, for the first time in this collaboration, Bridgestone is the official sponsor of the renewed RIDE 6 Riding School, the training section of the video game where players can take their skills to the next level through specific tutorials.
Building on the tire company’s long history and success in motorcycle racing, including the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC), tire performance and durability are central to the RIDE 6 experience. Just like in real racing, virtual riders must manage tire wear, adapt to changing conditions and make strategic decisions, making tires a key factor in in-game performance and progression.
