In just a few days, the new CFMoto 800 MT-X will be presented in society on the occasion of the celebration of the Beijing International Motorcycle Show, starting next May 17. Meanwhile, the brand has already registered the model in the Chinese market and, in addition, the first official images have been leaked with which we can get an idea of what to expect.
Let us remember that the first concept of the model was shown for the first time at the last EICMA 2023. Now, a few months after that preview, the new 800 MT-X is ready to delight Offroad lovers in general and of the Chinese brand in particular.
CFMoto 800 MT-X 2024: Everything and more, for much less
Now it's time to ask if the new 800 MT-X It will follow the same steps as other competitive frames from the same origin. That is, offering more than the European ones and also doing so for a lower rate, as we have already seen with new models such as the recently released Voge 900DSX.
We must not forget that this 800 MT-X uses the in-line twin-cylinder engine that equips the 790 KTM versions. The brand announces 95 HP of power at 9,000 rpm and 77 Nm of maximum torque at 7,500 rpm. But without a doubt the strength of this new adventure durara of CFMoto is its dynamic configuration.
The use of radial type wheels with 21” at the front and 18” at the rear axle stands out, shod with Offroad tires in sizes 90/90-21 and 150/70-18. For its part, the adjustable suspension team uses Kayaba with an inverted front fork and a rear monoshock.
From Motorrad Online they point out that the new 800 MT-X It will have about 200 mm of travel in the front. All this for a final dry weight of 214 kilogramsto which we must add the total capacity of its fuel tank, probably just over 19 liters, which is what the current 800 MT Touring has.
To finish this 800 MT-X You will have all those elements of equipment worthy of a mount of this type. From an 8” TFT screen, as an instrument panel, through an elaborate control system, traction, disconnectable ABS and dual channel Bosch or different Riding Mode.
Optionally, CFMoto has a wide catalog of accessories with which to improve the road or Offroad riding skills of this 800 MT-X: An aluminum suitcase kit, side protections or auxiliary lighting would be among the most notable. If the brand also ends up offering its new frame for just over 12,000 euros, we are sure that it will become a de facto sales success.
To resolve all these doubts we still have to wait a few days. Specifically, on May 17, when the Beijing International Motorcycle Show will kick off, the nerve center of Asian brands and where we will surely have varied and interesting scoops on the two-wheeled sector.
