CFMoto continues working on the development of new models with which to make up its range for next year. Among them we find the future 675 NK, a medium-high displacement naked equipped with the three-cylinder engine recently released in the new 675SR-R, a sports car that points directly to the Triumph and Yamaha models powered by an engine technically similar to the one uses the Chinese brand.
Let us remember that this mechanics was presented by CFMoto in the last edition of the well-known Milanese EICMA. Starting from the current 449 cc parallel twin, used in the sporty 450SR, CFMoto adds a third parallel cylinder to give life to its new engine. The similarities with the 450 engine are evident in elements such as the design of the cylinder head and rocker cover.
The CFMoto 675 NK ready for candy
It was last August when we saw the first images of the 675 NK in the testing process. As we already confirmed after an exhaustive look, we could almost guarantee that the new CFMoto naked will be presented as a naked variant of the 675SR-R. Its engine, with internal dimensions of 72 mm x 55.2 mm, uses a double overhead camshaft, liquid cooling and an electronic injection feeding system.
The engine is in turn associated with a six-speed gearbox equipped with bidirectional electronic control and declares a maximum power of 95 HP at 11,000 rpm and 70 Nm of final torque at 8,250 revolutions. The brand announces that it only weighs 54 kilograms and can catapult its new sports car to the 220km/h. Other technical characteristics shared with the 675SR-R would be related to the cycle part.
Here we see how the 675 NK test uses a steel chassis and aluminum swingarm very similar to those seen on the SR-R. The same thing happens with the suspensions, with an inverted fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking system is also inherited, in this case it has two 300 mm diameter discs at the front, actuated by four-piston radial calipers signed by J.Juan. At the rear, a single 240 mm disc works in conjunction with a single-piston caliper.
As notable details that the first images of the 675 NK offer us, it is worth highlighting, for example, the aerodynamic cover that covers part of its front braking. Also worth highlighting is the redesigned front, with wide handlebars or the maximum declared empty weight, 189 kilossix less than her sister “R”. Of course, it will have a good compendium of technology and equipment, including traction control, quick shift, LED lights, screen with connectivity, in addition to, logically, the obligatory braking system with ABS.
Now we have to wait for CFMoto to make official the official launch of the new 675 NK in China, and then send it to the European borders. If this possibility finally occurs, it would not be before next spring when the Asian brand would begin to market the new model in these parts, with an initial price of around 8,000 euros?
In any case, we will have to wait for official confirmation from this, which is the one who has the final say in this matter.
