Continental expands its sport touring range with the new ContiMotion EVOa tire developed for motorcyclists seeking a balance between driving pleasure, safety and mileage. The new model takes over from the popular ContiMotion and introduces improvements in several key sections.
The new materials used in the casing provide more stability and consistencywhile the optimized construction allows for a more agile response. Added to this are updated compounds to reinforce behavior both on dry and wet asphalt.

Christoph Ettenhuberresponsible for Continental’s Motorcycle Tires area, explained after its official presentation: “With the ContiMotion EVO we offer a versatile sport touring tire. It combines intuitive handling with reliable wet and dry grip, plus outstanding mileage for everyday use. It is compatible with a wide range of popular naked motorcycles, roadsters and modern classics.”
ContiMotion EVO: designed for both sports and road use
The ContiMotion EVO is designed for both those who enjoy sporty driving on the weekend and for fans of traveling by motorcycle. Its range of measurements allows it to be fitted to numerous current Naked, Roadster, Sport Touring and Modern Classic models.

Motorcycles that can be equipped with the ContiMotion EVO include, but are not limited to, the BMW R12 nineT, the Triumph Daytona 660, the Ducati Supersport 950, the Honda CB 650R, the Suzuki GSX-8TT and the Yamaha MT-09. As Ettenhuber points out, the new tire covers a wide selection of popular motorcycles within these segments.
The relevance of Continental’s EasyHandling technology
One of the pillars of the ContiMotion EVO is Continental’s EasyHandling technology. Together with the optimized tire construction, it provides predictable response to handlebar commands and greater agility, even in tight corners and when leaning at low speeds. Optimized hybrid silica compound improves wet grip without compromising mileage.

This formulation also offers confidence in the dry and maintains its performance over a long tread life, supported by a specific tread pattern. To ensure stability at high speeds, the tire uses the construction with ZeroDegree steel beltcombined with new casing materials. The result is an evolution focused on four main advantages:
- Intuitive handling and great agility, thanks to EasyHandling and an optimized construction.
- Reliable grip in dry and wet conditions, thanks to the hybrid silica compound.
- High mileage and long-lasting performance, the result of the advanced compound and specific tread pattern.
- Stability at high speed, supported by ZeroDegree technology and the new casing.

“The ContiMotion EVO has improved in key areas without losing the fundamental and recognized qualities of its predecessor. The rider benefits from a significantly more agile tire”adds Ettenhuber when asked about the new Continental tire.
