For better or worse, the British motorcycle market and its culture of the world of two wheels in general, is very different from ours. The proof is that the British Superbike riders are recognized as local stars, while here almost no one knows the riders who rule the ESBK.
But it’s one thing to say it and another to prove it. And since the movement is demonstrated by walking, can you imagine that some Spanish dealer would release 10 exclusive units and replicas of their brand’s official equipment? Well, that’s what Surrey-based Doble Motorcycles has done with the Honda Fireblade BSB Edition.
It is a motorcycle that pays tribute to the brand’s participation in the BSB, which is based on the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP with its powerful four-cylinder engine, Öhlins suspensions and Brembo brakes. In fact, none of this is modified in this special version, which does change with respect to the original in the accessories.
The list is long, but in addition to the British Superbike replica stickers it also has a smoked screen, alcantara rider seat, chassis protections, Gilles Tools adjustable levers and footpegs, R&G fall protections, short license plate holder and mirror covers with integrated turn signals.
And to give it that racing touch, the kit valued at more than 2,500 pounds (2,850 euros at the exchange rate) also includes a passenger seat cover and a set of stands.
This special edition in honor of British Superbike riders is limited to 10 units
Only 10 units will be built and they will also be “custom-made”, since each of the buyers will be able to choose from the number of currently official pilots. That is, John McGuinness, Tommy Bridewell, Andrew Irwin, Ryan Vickers or Dean Harrison. And not only that, depending on the chosen rider, the motorcycle will also be signed by them.
With all this, the final price of the motorcycle is 23,999 pounds, not 24,000… which at the current exchange rate is 27,358 euros. A good amount, but only 300 pounds more than the original version there, and much cheaper than what it costs as standard in our country.
