Now, taking advantage of the incomparable framework offered by the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026those from Borgo Panigale have announced PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Editiontransferring its universe of values to the nautical world.
PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition: sailing the seas with Italian style
The new PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Editiondeveloped jointly with Pirelli and SACS Marine—, captures the stylistic DNA of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer in a new and exclusive project. The project has its origins in the collaboration that has united Pirelli and SACS Marine for more than twenty years in the development of the Pirelli Speedboats range, a benchmark in the high-performance maxi-RIB segment.

Created to celebrate the centenary of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, the PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition was presented for the world premiere last Thursday at Zuma Cannes. The presentation took place during a press conference held within the framework of the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, the main on-water boat show in Europe. The event was attended by Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati and Nicola Antonelli, growth director of Sas Marine.
Claudio DomenicaliCEO of Ducati, commented during the presentation event: “the PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition is the most tangible expression of this. The decoration inspired by the Superleggera V4 Centenario, the work with the Centro Stile to define the aesthetic language and our sporting DNA merge into a boat with a strong personality, which not only carries the Ducati name, but truly embodies its character.”

He concluded: “The unique configuration, with three 500 HP Mercury Racing engines, allows the PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition to offer extraordinary performance, in perfect harmony with our vision of sportiness. I have always been passionate about everything that goes fast, in all its forms, and that is precisely why this project excites me in a very special way.”
For your part Marco Maria Tronchetti ProveraSenior Vice President of Design and Asset Conversion at Pirelli, said: “The PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition marks a new chapter in the journey undertaken together with SACS Marine, bringing to the water great experience, technology and passion perfected both on the road and on the track. Pirelli has long collaborated with Ducati, equipping all Borgo Panigale models; this special edition represents a new expression of that bond, also offering a unique experience at sea.”

Finally Nicola Antonelligrowth director of Sacs Marine, stated during the event: “The vision that guides us places the owner at the center of our decisions, and this project emerged precisely from that approach: our objective was to create a boat capable of maximizing the involvement and pleasure of driving. The PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition is capable of evoking unique sensations even before starting the engines.”
He concluded: “This project brings together the best of the character of Pirelli Speedboats with the distinctive DNA of Ducati, creating something unique that is destined to make history. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Ducati in the past, and being able to do so again is deeply gratifying. Avant-garde design and technique “Made in Italy”
Only 26 units of the PIRELLI 44 will be manufactured | Ducati Editiona symbolic figure that pays tribute to 1926, the year Ducati was founded. At a design level, the aerodynamic appendages of the engines – inspired by the rear sections of Ducati’s MotoGP competition motorcycles and their extreme aerodynamics – further accentuate its sporting identity.
The characteristic design of the inflatable tubes also evokes the Ducati universe. Although it is traditionally inspired by the tread of the Pirelli Cinturato Blue Wet tire, for this edition the experts at the Pirelli R&D Center have reinterpreted it taking as a reference the Diablo Supercorsa SP, the hypersports tire approved for road use with which the Superleggera V4 Centenario is equipped.

A wide range of refined details further enhance its Ducati character, including a double-step sports helmet designed by the Ducati team. Mannerfelt Design, a carbon fiber hardtop, steel components finished in black, a dashboard and driver’s seats upholstered in Alcantara, and a commemorative plaque dedicated to the model.
A direct reference to the most exclusive Ducati models is the customizable license plate, a feature that has always accompanied the most prestigious creations of the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer. In the coming months, the project will be the protagonist of a series of specific initiatives and events, designed to share the vision behind its creation and the path that has led to three icons of the “Made in Italy” to shape a shared vision of performance.
