Ducati just announced the launch of its new Futa All Road, a versatile and comfortable e-bike based on the road e-bike. The All Road is designed for long rides on both asphalt and dirt roads. In short, a fast but comfortable electric bike, with technical solutions designed to guarantee stability even off paved sections.
Ducati Futa All Road in detail
The new e-bike from the Italian firm stands out for having a frame equipped with a geometry based on endurance sports. Like the Futa AXS, the road version from which it is derived, the All Road features a motor integrated into the hub, a battery integrated into the down tube, a decoration with GP red details and a visible carbon look, in perfect Ducati style.
The monocoque frame is made of carbon fiber. The compact rear support, with lowered covers, makes the bike more comfortable, generating less aerodynamic resistance. The Futa All Road weighs only 12.4kg in its size M. For its part, the motor, located in the rear hub, is the FSA System HM 1.0 with 250 W and 42 Nm of torque.
It stands out for a natural smooth power delivery and has 5 levels of assistance. This works jointly with a 250 Wh FSA battery perfectly integrated into the diagonal tube, and an optional range extender is available with another 250 Wh, for even greater distances.
The FSA App, available for iOS and Android, quickly and intuitively displays driving statistics, remaining range and charging status. Above 25 km/h, when the assistance is lost as required by European regulations, the motor resistance is almost imperceptible and pedaling remains agile and fluid.
The bike is equipped with the SRAM Rival eTap AXS set, with hydraulic brakes and 160 mm discs, a precise, responsive 2×12-speed wireless electronic shifting and Vision AGX 30 wheels with carbon fiber rims. The FSA K-WING AGX Carbon handlebar, designed for gravel riding, features profiled contact points to improve ergonomics.
Comfort and ease of driving are ensured thanks to a 10° forward curvature, to have a more natural wrist and wider elbow position, which facilitate breathing. The flared shape of the handlebar curve increases control and aerodynamics. Cable routing is fully integrated.
The tires are Vittoria Terreno Dry, ideal for mixed road and gravel use. The differentiated section between the front (38 mm) and the rear (35 mm) guarantees driving safety, comfort on all terrains and absorption of irregularities. The saddle is a Selle Italia SLR Boost.
The Futa All Road is enriched with a set of bicycle backpacks, consisting of three Skuad bags for the saddle, handlebars and frame. Made from fully waterproof fabric, they maximize storage space without compromising maneuverability, with secure closures and a contoured design.
This model expands the Ducati range, which already includes the Futa AXS e-road, and the Powerstage RR (full carbon Enduro), TK-01RR (aluminum Enduro) and MIG S (all mountain) e-mtbs. The Futa All Road will be manufactured in four sizes, from S (53) to XL (59) and will be sold for a starting price of 7,690 euros. Deliveries will begin throughout Europe in June 2024.
