With a 100% 9K carbon fiber shell, this is the helmet used by LS2 speed riders, such as Fermín Aldeguer or Iker Lecuona. It has homologation ECE 22.06 and FIM, emergency release system, double ‘D’ shaped ring closure and multi-density expanded polystyrene (EPS), for total protection.
The version is also available Thunder GP Aerowithout FIM homologation and with a 6K carbon shell. Unlike the Pro, which is only available in carbon finish, the Aero has a wide variety of graphics and replicas of world championship riders.
LS2 Advant X Carbon Helmet
This convertible helmet is the only one on the market with a shell made entirely of 6K carbon fibre, including the 180º folding chin guard. LS2 has other helmet models made from different materials such as HPFC or high performance fiber composite, a mixture of fibers pre-impregnated with a resistant resin that stands out for its lightness and rigidity and is capable of absorbing impact and dispersing energy. The brand also makes some of its helmets from KPA or Kinetic Polymer Alloy, a proprietary combination of polycarbonate, thermoplastics and additional materials specifically formulated by LS2. The helmet Storm IIhe Strobe II and the Fast II are made from it.
Finally, the firm also uses HPTT or High Pressure Thermoplastic Technology, an exclusive process developed by LS2 engineers whereby a special mix of ABS (a highly impact-resistant plastic) is injected into high-pressure moulds.
