Honda auction pieces of their supermotocross CRF to fight children’s brain tumors

The start of the Supermotocross Championship in Charlotte, has been the chosen stage to give visibility to a cause that goes beyond sport. And this time, more important than what happened on the track is the solidarity action that Honda launched, and that seeks to improve the lives of children and families that fight against such a devastating disease.

Of course, the auction is not an isolated action, but is the result of a long collaboration between Honda and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, a relationship that already exceeds three decades. During all that time, the brand has continuously supported initiatives that combine the passion for motorcycles with solidarity. The Ride for Kids program, becoming a national movement, is perhaps the best example of how motorcycling can also be a tool to generate hope.

In Charlotte, in addition to the auction, children and their families had the opportunity to share a dinner at Handa in Honda, learn about the pilots and live the Paddock experience. All this in a festive atmosphere that allowed them to disconnect for a few hours from a much harder reality.

Supermotocross CRF plastics were made with love, art and have a lot of symbolism

Auctioned components are not simple exposure pieces. These are competition plastics that were mounted on official motorcycles during the first appointment of the supermotocross. In them you can see designs created by patients from the Foundation and their brothers, with a motto that talks about dreams and moments of podium. It is a graphic reminder of the strength of those who, despite facing a relentless rival, do not stop imagining a better future.

The graphic work, carried out by Throttle Jockey, gives added value to each piece. We do not talk only about collector’s pieces, but of pieces with a meaning that also connects directly to the cause for which funds are collected.

As we said, the story between Honda and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is not understood without mentioning the constancy. Since 1991, the Foundation has raised more than 54 million dollars thanks to innovative projects that have allowed progress in research, clinical trials and treatments for child brain cancer, one of the most mortal and less investigated forms of this disease.

The auction is in favor of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation

Honda’s gesture in Charlotte is an extension of that commitment and not only collecting money, but giving visibility, generating awareness and, especially, giving families that need experiences that take them out of their hard day to day.

The auction has been underway until September 15 and has been an opportunity for fans and collectors to collaborate in an initiative that shows that the competition can go hand in hand with solidarity.
