Iker Lecuona in great shape
Just a few weeks ago Lecuona achieved his first victory in the WSBK. A feat that culminated after years of work and sacrifice on the always demanding Donington circuit. He did it during Saturday’s race ahead of an intractable Bulega. Although everything indicated that he could repeat on Sunday, a fall while leading the Superpole Race put Bulega’s two remaining victories on a plate.

Now, Lecuona has a golden opportunity to show again what he is capable of. This time on the back of Fermín Aldeguer’s Ducati MotoGP, within the BK8 Gresini Racing structure. Once again (he already did it in the last Hungarian GP), the Valencian driver will be in charge of replacing the Murcian, this time on the occasion of the British GP at the Silverstone circuit.
Aldeguer will resume training this month
As reported by the championship organization: “Aldeguer will continue to be out as a precaution. However, he has been medically cleared to resume training starting August 15, with the aim that Team Gresini can welcome him back at the Aragon Grand Prix, which will be held from August 28 to 30.”

Let us remember that the La Ñora driver was injured last January during a private training session at the Circuit Aspar. As a result of the fall, the femur in his left leg was fractured, an injury that has unfortunately reduced his participation this season and any chance of the 2026 MotoGP title.
