Italjet presents the Dragster 700 Twin Limited Edition with 68 HP, manual transmission and 190 km/h

Italjet has been playing something else in the scooter business for many years and its new Dragster 700 Twin Limited Edition, recently presented at EICMA 2024, confirms this fact and why the Italian brand has gone one step further within this busy segment. You just have to take a look at the outline of this “ScooterGP” (it seems to be derived from one of the MotoGP with which Ducati competes in the World Championship), to realize that we are facing something unique and very special.

A long list of premium components corroborates the halo of exclusivity that the Dragster 700 Twin Limited Edition conveys. The list includes a tubular steel frame, titanium Akrapovič exhaust, a DBK clutch cover with clear window, Brembo brake calipers and Öhlins suspension. But this is just the beginning of a technical configuration never seen in a high-performance maxi scooter. Without a doubt the most exclusive technical resource of the model is paired with its engine.

Italjet Dragster 700 Twin Limited Edition: Launching a new era in the scooter segment

The twin-cylinder 700 cc QJ Motor comes associated with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine, which is the same one used in models such as the Benelli TRK, declares a maximum power of 68 HP and 70 Nm of torque. The Dragster 700 Twin Limited Edition has a maximum curb weight of 190 kilograms, making it a real machine in the right conditions. Italjet announces a top speed of 190 km/h.

Other details worth mentioning are, for example, its 15” alloy wheels shod with 120/70 and 160/60 tires, front and rear respectively. For its part, the fuel tank can hold up to 16 liters of gasoline. In the words of the brand’s CEO, Massimo Tartarini: “We don’t like to call it a scooter, but ultimately the end users will decide whether they see it as a scooter or a motorcycle.”

The problem, like almost everything in this life, is “the money.” The same one that we will have to pay to be able to get one of the 700 Dragster 700 Twin Limited Edition that make up this inaugural series of the model. Later, the standard model will go on sale, with a starting price of 12,900. However, the base rate for this limited edition starts from from 14,900 euros.
