Kawasaki is ready to renew its well-known trail bike. Now it will be the Versys 1100, it will arrive in 2025 and we already have the details

Kawasaki appears to be working on an updated variant of its current high-performance ADV. It has recently registered the initials Versys 1100 at the Australian patent office, suggesting that the model could arrive with an increase in displacement as well as a higher level of equipment, for the next 2025 season.

This is the information collected by our colleagues at Motorcycle, which is also supported by the document that accredits this new registration by Kawasaki. In any case, it is necessary to clarify some concepts related to the model and the impact that the initials could have. Versys 1100 in the different markets where it is sold.

Kawasaki Versys 1100 2025: More equipment and technology

In Europe in general and Spain in particular, the current Versys 1000 is sold in up to three trim levels: standard, S version and SE variantIn Australia, however, the only option available is the one we have here as an intermediate, the S. That is why if we look at the details of the homologation we can clearly see how the Versys 1100 S would be associated with the internal code KLZ1100B.

The Versys 1000 S, on the other hand, is marketed under the KLZ1000B initials, so everything suggests that the Versys 1100 S version could be considered a higher-capacity variant, and probably also with a higher level of equipment and technology. Perhaps similar to that currently used by the SE option within the Kawasaki range in Europe.

A Versys 1100 could arrive in the Kawasaki range in 2025

It is therefore more than likely that the arrival of this Versys 1100 will bring with it new advances to the model, such as the incorporation of adaptive cruise control or blind spot detection systems that Kawasaki previously introduced in the Ninja H2 SX. In the mechanical section, it could go from the current 1,043 cc to a displacement close to those 1,100 that define the commercial name.

Under this approach, it is worth asking whether Kawasaki will apply this improvement to other models of the brand, giving rise to a Ninja 1100SX or one Z1100for example. These assumptions only have a response from the brand itself, so it will not be at least until next month. EICMA 2024 when all the news related to the topic is revealed.

The official presentation of some of these models and the announcement of the end of sales of the current ones are also possible… We will see.
