At the end of last year 2024, on the occasion of the well -known Milanés Eicma, Kove showed the audience its new ex and 800x Rally rally, two motorcycles where the brand has applied for its development the experience in competition for the Kove Rally Team. In the words of the brand they are:
“Thought for long -distance careers and tours, such as the Dakar Rally and Africa Eco Race, where Kove will be the protagonist, thanks to the complete support – technical, economic, pilot experience and teams – of international pelpi.” Now it seems that everything is ready for the novel 800X Rally to reach European dealers.
Kove 800x Rally 2025: Putting on the desert
As published from the British media MCN, Kove will make official the launch of the new 800X Rally on the occasion of Adventure Bike Rider Festival 2025. There the brand will make public the official specifications of the model, including the final price and its main technical characteristics. In any case we can advance what we can expect from the one that may become the most effective rally version of the medium-shaped trail category.
The main technical differences with respect to the current Kove 800x Pro are focused on lowering the final weight of the set and improving the offroad capacities of the new model. That is why the 800x Rally Approves:
- Front suspension with 270 mm travel and 49 mm diameter bars
- Increased seat height to 890 mm
- Vacuum weight declared 176 kilograms (7 less than 800x Pro)
- Free distance to the ground at its lowest part of 275 mm (18 mm more than the 800x Pro)
- Final levels of length, width and maximum height: 2267 × 810 × 1395 mm (is shorter and narrower than the 800x Pro, but gains mm in maximum height)
- The wheelbase grows to 1,545 mm (35 mm more than the 800x Pro)
- The data related to its propeller: 95 hp at 9,000 rpm, with a maximum torque of 80 nm available at 7,500 rpm are remained unchanged.
- The maximum speed is limited to 180 km/h
Outside the technical aspect and focusing on the specific equipment with which the new 800x Rally will be marketed, the Chinese firm has included a series of high -level components (some of them derived directly from the competition), with which in addition to lightening the final weight, the motorcycle wins in rigidity and general efficiency.
For example, the Taisko braking system, developed internally, was tested in the high intensity conditions of the Dakar to evaluate the sensation, distance and braking sensitivity. Now we have a single lobed front disc and driven by a double piston floating clamp. Behind the same configuration is maintained, although the album is also type Wave.
Likewise, the brand has decided to set up CST Ambro A3 (with camera) off-road tires with measures 90/90-21 and 140/80-18, in front and behind respectively. We talked about the same tires that at the time premiered the Kove 450 Rally. Another remarkable detail within this section is the inclusion of a professional rally chain guide.
Finally, and as unique characteristics in this 800x Rally, the brand has opted for the suppression of the rear rests. Also for mounting the high rally fender, or a good sung components in CNC:
- Upper and lower triple huggers
- Handle clamps and supports
- Front and rear bushings
The new Kove 800X Rally is expected to reach European dealers in the first weeks of July with a price similar to that offered by the 800x Pro variant.
