With the backdrop of EICMA 2024 Milan, KTM has presented its new KTM 1390 Super Adventure S 2025. One of the Austrians’ flagships, it comes with a leap in technology and a series of improvements compared to its predecessor on the market. This model is aimed at those looking for greater speed, advanced technology and a more intense driving experience.
As you already know, within the ADVENTURE range of KTMthe “S” has always been synonymous with models focused on the road. And, as it could not be otherwise, this year is no exception. The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S 2025 introduces a host of completely new technological and mechanical innovations.
This is the new KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S 2025
Compared to the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVOthe S version includes a conventional clutch and manual transmission, ideal for riders who prefer a more direct driving experience. Additionally, the 2025 edition includes a fifth-generation forward-facing radar as an additional option.
Of course, styling and ergonomics have evolved as well. This new version incorporates a completely renewed body design, LED headlights, an improved windshield and a larger glove box. Its chassis is now stiffer, improving stability and maneuverability, and the footpegs are positioned 8 mm lower and are 10 mm wider for greater comfort.
Like the version EVOthe KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S incorporates the latest semi-active suspension technology (SAT) from W.P.adjusted for a more precise response. This suspension uses PWM sensors and a balanced bar fork.
The engine has also been optimized, increasing its displacement from 1,300 to 1,350 cc and delivering 173 hp at 9,500 rpm with a torque of 145 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Thanks to new components and the innovative CAMSHIFT technology, the engine allows greater ease of operation at low revolutions, offering better performance and a reduction in emissions and fuel consumption.
This technology (CAMSHIFT) allows a variable distribution, with two individual cam profiles. At high rpm, the intake cams move for greater valve opening time and height, maximizing power. At low revs, the paddles adjust the timing and lift, making it easier to drive both in the city and on fast routes.
As it cannot be otherwise, the new KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S It also features an advanced electronics package, including a V80 vertical TFT touch screen. Equipped with inductive technology, this efficient display can be operated with thick winter gloves and has an anti-glare and anti-fingerprint coating. There is no shortage of new driving modes, connectivity functions and an optional update to the adaptive cruise control, which adds assisted braking, collision and distance alerts.
As we have told you, and designed mainly for road use, the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S 2025 It also offers excellent off-road performance, combining advanced technology, power and effectiveness.
